About
The Raccoon Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course in Littleton. It covers 7,007 yards from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. The course has some difficult elements, such as elevation changes, but it is still beginner-friendly. Water hazards come into play on seventeen holes. The most difficult hole of the course, one of the most difficult in Colorado according to the Colorado Golf Associates, is the par-3 17th hole. The hole runs alongside a creek, the creek that the course is named after, and requires a shot over a portion of it to a very well protected green.

Golfer Reviews
Just not up to snuff
This course is fun, but no where near the value of $75 riding 18 holes. This course feels, but more importantly plays, like an executive course. Id be fine paying $50 for 18 riding. I will say this, though the course was in rough shape, the greens were great. Thumbs up for that, but I was disappointed.
Day At Raccoon Creek
Course has challenging distances for long and short hitters. Long shots may go off the fairways and present a difficult second shot. Short shots may leave too much a distance to the green on the second shot. It is a great course.
Awesome staff members
Very friendly staff. Fun course to play. Even tho in the city limits very little road noise at all. Tea boxes are a bit uneven and bumpy, but overall a great place to play
Nice Day in Littleton, CO
Raccoon is one of the loveliest and well laid out golf courses to play on. Couple that with he Denver area weather of sunshine and cool weather, one would think it is Paradise.
Laid out to walk or ride, the different tee boxes will challenge and the par-3s are gorgeous.
Horrible pace
The course is gorgeous. However, the pace of play is horrendous. We normally play 36 in 5.5 hours. This course took 5.5 hours to play 18, after being promised they could get us out for another 9. Unacceptable. No marshall. Definitely not coming back, if it was a weekend round I would understand but on a Wednesday??? Come on.
Pace of play
It could just be a one time deal, but we didn't finish our round due to the pace of play. Our two some and another couple of gentlemen called it at hole 15 after 5 hours of play. Great layout, but stop and go kinda takes the wind out of your sails at each hole.
Great course but there was issues
Love this course a great challenge. Unfortunately golf now did not mention that the greens were aerated so we drove , PAID, and played on the WORST greens of the year. A real bummer also because we paid over $50 and if I knew the greens we re in this condition I wouldn't have played if it was free. Wish I could upload photos
Painfully slow
After finishing 15 and seeing the group in front not teeing off, I decided that was enough fun for one day. It was slow from the first tee. At the time I left, I was already at 4.5 hours. I estimate it would have been a 5.5 hour round had I finished.
Rain checks
We played 2 1/2 holes before we got rained out and went to the pro shop for a rain check. They issued us a rain check for 16 holes because we had played two before the rain. First time a course issued a 16 hole rain check instead of all 18.
Raccoon Creek
The course is challenging and well manicured. It was a lot of fun playing here.In Denver the ball goes 10 to 15% farther so you will need to adjust your yardages, so I would watch out for the parts of the course that have hazards within driving distance. You may reach them without being aware
Challenging Course, Slow Pace
I love this course because every hole is a good challenge and club selection is very key. The past few times I have been, there has been a slower pace of play. This is a course where you really need to be honest with yourself and your game before you walk up to the blue or black tees. Load up on beverages before you tee off because the beverage cart is rarely seen. Practice facilities are some of the best.
Overpriced
I have played this course several times and never had a good experience. Parking is a trial. Staff is indifferent. Always something wrong with the course. One time there is no sand at all in the bunkers - more like hardpan. Another time fairways are unusable because of ground under repair. Rough is wildly inconsistent. They had tricked out the course for a tournament and had THREE flags on one green. Way overpriced for a mediocre golf course.
Raccoon is my favorite course that will really challenge you
I have been playing here a bunch for 5 years and love this place. It is hard, fast greens but a good challange
