About
The Raccoon Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course in Littleton. It covers 7,007 yards from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. The course has some difficult elements, such as elevation changes, but it is still beginner-friendly. Water hazards come into play on seventeen holes. The most difficult hole of the course, one of the most difficult in Colorado according to the Colorado Golf Associates, is the par-3 17th hole. The hole runs alongside a creek, the creek that the course is named after, and requires a shot over a portion of it to a very well protected green.

Golfer Reviews
Good design way overpriced
The design is very good. The condition of the course was dissappointing. Tee boxes were hairy and didn't have a flat spot on them. Bunkers had little sand in them. Greens were in good shape and held shots well. Fairways were gouged up and hadn't been mowed. $75 a head is too much for the shape.
Fun course
Lots of challenges with fast, fun greens. Tips can play a nice distance. Staff has a hard time keeping up with tee offs, pace of play can exceed 5 hours easily
Pace of play seems to be a problem.
When I have played here before the pace was very slow but there seemed to be no marshals, This time, there was no problem with the pace but the threesome I was in was consistently being badgered by a marshal and the starter when we made the turn at 10, even though we were way ahead of the clock and were on the tail of those in front of us
.
I called the night before I booked to ask if it was okay for my wife, who does not play, to just ride along and was told "no problem". When I checked in and told them my wife was riding they insisted a I pay an additional $18 for her to ride. That's "no problem"?
The carts are old gas carts with shredded upholstery. The driving range is beat down to only sand and generally the facility seems rundown. I think I've seen enough of this place.
Great but slow round!
The course was fine and challenging from the tips. The greens could've been more receptive as they definitely firmed up and did not hold all my wedge shots. Pace of play was terrible as there were no carts available when our time came so we went out like 15 minutes late. Otherwise just fine and a steal at the rate on GN.
Excellent setting, interesting layout
A number of the holes have risk/reward opportunities that led to a very exciting round. The course was well maintained and the greens were in great shape, just a little on the slow side (for me personally).
The pace of play was very slow (5 hours), but it was the middle of the day on Sunday. The marshal prodded us (respectfully) despite our waiting on every tee box and approach. I took it in stride and enjoyed the slow paced round on a wonderful day.
Too long from blacks.
Length from black tees seems contrived. One par 3 has men's blacks at 229yards and women's 117. I played with guys playing the blacks poorly and played with them there as well for the heck of it. Too long for me and them.
Driving range tee surfaces horrible.
Beautiful Course
This course was in excellent condition. The views are excellent. The only reason I would not give it a 5 are the tee boxes. A lot of them were not level, especially the ladies. But other than that I was very glad I played it and would play again.
Challenging buy fair
Raccoon Creek is a very challenging golf course with lots of water to navigate. It is a course you want to play more than once or with someone that knows the layout. The greens are difficult with many undulations and varying speed.
This is a difficult course, but it well designed and fair.
Good layout but terrible pace of play
Really enjoyed layout but pace of play was awful. 5 hours & 45 minutes. Waiting 10-15 minutes on every tee. Great practice facilities.
5HR 20 MIN ROUND... PACE OF PLAY
This was my 3rd outing this summer at Raccoon Creek that took more than 5 hrs to get in. Waiting on can every shot is unacceptable. They have a marshall and he seems to not have any affect on the slow play. I’m not sure what the problem is ! They have gone from very high on my list to very low. Mabe they need to increase the time between the teetimes by at least a minute probably two. I think they're going out every seven minutes now… they need to increase that to every 9 minutes and get the Marshall out there to keep things moving. It is too bad It's a nice golf course with nice personnel.
Monday golf
The course was great....having said that the greenside bunker were not. There seemed to be more sand in the fairway bunkers. No chance of a splash shot, play like hard pan. They need to add sand to the bunkers. Big time. Less than an inch in the two I was in. There should be sand in a bunker or fill it with water and make a water hazard.
Except for the threat of enough rain to ruin the second nine, great course. Challenging, but with some holes that made it feel like you had a chance. Not problem getting a rain check after 9.
Nice but way too slow
Really nice layout and conditions were super given the drenching rains recently however 5-1/2 hour round and being told 2 times pace would pick up but does not means the only time I will consider this course again is if I know they are not booked full. 5-1/2 hours is inexcusable!
Good Course
This was the first time I played here. It was challenging with some long carries from the back tees. With all the rain we have been getting, hitting out of the long rough wasn't much fun. 54 dollars with a cart is well worth it. I will definitely play here again.
Great condition
Greens roll very true, a couple of gimmicky little holes. pace could have been a little better. Overall a nice round of golf.
This is a very nice, user-friendly layout, but the pace of play was abysmal the day we played.
Positives: The course itself is in excellent condition. Negatives: It took us 5 hours and 20 minutes to complete our round. We played behind a six-some (that's right, 6 players) the entire front nine, and on a couple of occasions there were fourteen (14) golfers on the same hole . . . 6 playing the hole, and 8 waiting on the tee box. You get the picture, right? As a nice a course as this is, it's a shame that little or no attention is being paid to improving the pace of play.
Great course layout
First time playing the course. Speed of play was good. I walked and probably won't do that again. Loved the layout. Would definitely play again
The long wait
This is the 3rd time in a row that it has taken over 5 hours to play this course. This time 5 hrs and 10 minutes. Waited on almost every shot. There were no tournaments thus the marshals (which they have) did a poor job of maintaining pace of play. When asked the marshall said it was a result of one slow group. Duuuuuh.
great time
I love this mature course. There's plenty to get you trouble but it is very fair. The course is in great condition and I had one of the breakfast sandwiches and it had a big thick piece of ham and real egg!!! Good is inexpensive !!!
