Maui Nui Golf Club

I expected more for a course in Maui. The course isn’t in great shape. The greens aren’t very well k kept and the fairways are worse. Lots of bare spots that need to be addressed. The course is definitely playable, but need a lot of attention.

8-minutes between foursomes. The course was stacked up so badly it took 5-and-a-half hours to finish. Started my round at 10am. Beverage cart did not have any descent sandwiches available. $8 hot dogs and they're not the 1/4 pound variety either. Finished my round at 3:30pm.

Don’t recommend this course. Was able to land a hot deal to play in the course. When staff realized that I had booked my round with hot deal they treated me like a second class citizen. The starter made me wait for my hot deal tee time even though I was ready to play and there was nobody teeing off at least 30 minutes until my time. The course was not in good condition and hole 17 was closed so they created another hole between holes one and two. Threw my gps off until hole 18. Next time I am in Maui I will not waste my time on this course. Would rather spend a little more money for better service and better course.

I have literally played a few thousand rounds in my life. Without question these were the worst course conditions I ever experienced. Tee boxes were an uneven area of unrepaired divots. Greens were bumpy, slow, uneven and impossible to even make a 3 foot putt. Sand traps were uneven and shaped like salad bowls, with steep edges and very much flat space. The only good news was there was not many people on the course so we could finish in 3 hours.

One of the best in Maui if you’re not looking for the $250 rounds. Amazing staff and ocean views

Fairways could use more water but we didn’t pay for a high end course. 17th hole was under construction so they rerouted the course to play 18 holes. The trades and hills make this a tough but fun course. If you don’t want to pay $400 for Kapalua then consider this course. Friendly folks working there

Had a great time playing. Hole 17 under renovations but they have another hole to replace. Customer Service was fantastic (I was held up by a terrible accident but fit me right in).

Greens were slow and sanded in areas

Breaks didn’t break - 17 is DOA

Maintenance is good

Rental clubs past their prime but ok

Best deal in Kihei

Just go to play golf in Maui and not get caught up in the frills.

While this part of the island is normally dry, the course is only green where the sprinklers can reach. Anything off the fairway is hard red dirt. Wild pigs root the grass everywhere and bunkers go months without being raked. The greens have a lot of problems with diseases from tourists who bring their own shoes and don't clean them before playing. Unfortunately the worst course on Maui, but fortunately one of the cheaper ones.
