Maui Nui Golf Club

The course is really pretty nice and challenging for an intermediate golfer. The greens were in good shape, but unfortunately timing for us was that the 17th hole was being rebuilt, so they converted number 2 into a par 3 and a par 4. Worked out ok, and certainly did not extract from the fun and challenge of the course!! Would definitely recommend this course.

While visiting Maui we always try to get a round or two in at Maui Nui. It was a great day. Minimal breeze (which was needed), but not as bad as it can be. We were a twosome and moved right along. Had to wait a few times for a threesome in front of us, but no issues.

The greens were very slow, but I know this is the time of year for all the courses here to do a lot of maintenance.

I recommended everyone play this course during their visit. Good bang for the buck!

Fairways ok greens need some help. Lots of grass cuttings laying around. Easy to lose a ball in the fairway. So watch your ball til it stops

The greens were not in great shape, and they are in the process of rebuilding the 17th green, but the rest of the course was in pretty good shape. Some nice views of the ocean on the back nine. The price is reasonable but not as good as it use to be. The staff was excellent. Very friendly, and let us tee off early, which was nice of them.

Got a great deal on golf now… this course also offers multiple rounds at a good price… Maui is becoming too expensive for the average player so when I visit this my go to course.

The course need some work and the greens could be better but overall it’s a good track

Pace of play was great. Four hours and 15 minutes - and that’s with a little bit of waiting on the back 9.

Course was in pretty good shape. Mostly wide fairways - some water cones into play. Greens need some work.

We played 5 times this visit. We like the course, but it needs work. The greens are in pretty bad shape. We had cart failures 2 of 5 rounds, so the carts are getting pretty worn out.

I know it rained this AM but I would have appreciated a heads up that the course was closed for the entire day. It was 80 degrees and sunny ahead of my afternoon tee time.

I left a pair of golf shoes in the cart at the end of play and I returned 30 minutes later to pick them up.

I found the guy where we checked our cart in still sitting in the cart barn reading his phone screen and asked if he'd found the shoes. He just pointed to a trash can at the back of the cart barn and said "They're in the trash."

After digging into the trash can to retrieve my shoes, I asked him if he always threw away items left in carts.

He was extraordinarily rude and barely looked up from the phone to say something I didn't understand.

If I had waited until the next booking we had to get my shoes out of what I thought would be a lost and found, I would have been out of luck.

We cancelled the next bookings at this course and booked another course where we've always had excellent customer service from the employees.

We've played here many times over the years and like the course. When this employee not longer works here we'll be back and will recommend the course as we have in the past. Not now, though.

We come to Maui a few times a year and our Condo is 5 minutes from this course. We have played it many times in the past. We're not sure what happened in the last yaere, but this place has gone DOWNHILL FAST. They have areas in the fairway with no grass, & cut sod behind hole #7 into ~ 1 foot squares and just placed it on top of the dirt all over the back 9; so you have sod that is ~ 2"-3" higher than the fairway. Many of the greens were in really bad shape. They used to always have a beverage cart; now they have a broken down one that you can tell hasn't moved in years (grass is growning under where they can't mow), and the bartender runs out to the cart from the restaurant as you come off 9 and asks if you want anything and then goes back inside until the next group comes off 9! I've never seen anything like that in all my rounds of golf.

Have been playing here for many years. Non resident. The course was overall very bad shape. Only saw two workers and they were both looking for balls. Many cars in worker parking area but never saw anyone working. Giant holes next to some cart paths with water coming out. Looked like it had been wet for months. Greens not in great shape either. Just very dissatisfied and for the price not worth it.

Always enjoy this course… green and bunkers need work… price wise for Maui this place beats the rest… the staff is always friendly every time I’ve played here

Greens were sloooow, cart had no brakes so had to park on level ground which was a pain literally as the cart rolled back trapping my foot between cart and rock wall..

We have played this course numerous times over the years. This year conditions were good overall however it was a bit wet in spots given some recent weather, the sand traps were hard as rock and need a bit more sand please and some of the greens need some extra TLC . As always the staff were courtious and friendly and welcoming of visitors. Best value if playing multiple rounds was the players card. Look forward to returning in 2024 and playing a few more rounds
