Maui Nui Golf Club

Playing conditions very poor. Cheap, but even at that it’s not worth it.

For the money, thought this course would be fine. After coconuts strewn all over the rough, cart GPS that wouldn’t give correct distances, and twisting my ankle on lava luke rocks in the rough.. not so much! The pro shop is nice and looks lime they are refreshing atmosphere with paint & new deck.

I don’t recommend.

Four years since I last played the course. In general, the course experience has slipped. Greens not as good, staff less friendly, and there were no sandwiches to purchase from the cart girl between 11:00 and 1:00. Very disappointing.

Construction in progress - substitute a par 3 for par 5. Area around club house filled with construction material.

Greens on front nine have significant differences in grass and disease. Back 9 better.

In my opinion it is over-priced at this point. Dunes nearby is in better shape and is priced less.

The course needs some TLC. Greens, fairways and tee boxes have been in better condition in the past years. It appears they are beginning to improve the infrastructure of the whole golf club. The course can use the same.

Got your money then informed you about renovation to the course. Course in very rough shape.

The employees were great. Friendly, hard working and so in. The green fee was reasonable but….. the driving range was closed, no discount for that. Course was packed. Not enough carts so had to wait for carts. Round took 5 hours. Not a Ranger in sight but we got several messages to pick up the pace while we waited on every shot for the groups in front of us. The greens have serious problems, especially on the front. bare spots and not a smooth putt anywhere. fairways had issues too. The only good thing was the great workers and the people we were paired with.

Maui Nui is a beautiful affordable course on Maui.. Front nine was very slow, even more than past times playing. Some of that is attributable to the temporary 2nd hole that makes 2-3-4 extremely slow. Pace picked up some on the back nine. Some of the greens were not in great shape. The views make up for it. If you want a nice affordable round of golf while on Maui, Maui Nui should be on your list.

Nice design with a lot of elevation changes, but both course and equipment could use some attention. Good value and got around quickly with early tee time.

I’ve played Maui Nui several times, so I don’t expect great playing conditions and understand it is a public course with lower rates. However, the current conditions are very poor, especially the greens. I’m unsure of what has happened in recent months, but the maintenance has greatly detiorated. Spongy and slow greens. Bunkers not raked for days.
