Worst condition of the local courses, greens need help

The course was in such bad shape! Fairways were muddy with a lot of standing water. Not a ball washer to be found considering you had to clean your ball after each shot. Saturday and no cart person. Bunkers did not have sand, only red dirt. Greens slow and bumpy. Lastly, no warm up range. Only a spot to chip and putt. In fairness to course, they had a bad storm earlier in the week but having given that, maybe put some ball washers out on the course!

Was really looking forward to playing golf in Hawaii - unfortunately this is one of the worst courses I’ve ever played. The staff were extremely friendly but the course was in terrible shape.

They only had 17 holes so it screwed up my app on my phone if anyone uses an app to play.. essentially you play the first “10 holes” then go to the back “8” - The brake on my cart didn’t work haha- so I had to find “flat” ground to park it to avoid it rolling down the hills. Day was incredibly slow. Over 3.5 hours to play 9 holes. Nobody being started off the back “8”. I went home after the first nine it was so brutal.

Construction everywhere. Greens were terrible. Lipped out multiple putts because the hole edges were overgrown. I’ll never play this course again.

Would not recommend other than the very kind staff.

The pro shop staff were excellent to deal with very personal and accommodating. Same with the staff managing the cart rentals. The course it’s self was in great shape

I have to start by saying we we played on a very windy day ! Course is in OK condition, a lot of red dirt flying on you by windy condition

There are a lot of rough areas on the course that could use some TLC

They are doing a few renos but it was still ok. Course is a little rough right now but still fine.

We looked forward to playing on the course. But couple of things happened making the round less enjoyable. The two-some of guys in front of us was playing a 4 ball every shot. Making their money worth (not because of their poor tee shot hence had to play provisional ball and this was despite us tailing them and watched them tee off 4 shots. It was just poor etiquette yet there was no marshal the entire 17 holes to manage pace of play. Additional the fairway and green condition was not good ( compared to pukalani and Maui Lani as we also played tbere during the same week). Lastly, the last hole was under construction and not playable, yet we were not told at the start.

Friendly and efficient people managing the place. It's condition lproblems are ikely affected by the drought they've had. Also there are some holes being restored. There are 18 holes in play despite one hole being completely closed down. The green complexes are well designed but for whatever reason the greens hemselves were slow.

Will be a good course to play once conditions on the fairways and tee boxes improve.

I booked a 3:00 tee time and was easily able to finish by 5:30. The starter is super friendly and helpful. The course is beautiful, with Nehe Nehe geese wandering around (and not pooping on the greens). There are lakes and a nice stream. Several remnants of volcanic rock buildings are scattered throughout, with plaques describing the history. Free drop off you land near any of the on-course lava features. I’d gladly play this three times vs. playing a more expensive course once.Enjoy lunch before your round at Paco’s Tacos. The tacos are great, and I’m from New Mexico so I know my tacos! Mahalo!

A good course but needs work. Tee boxes and greens need improvement. I’m sure they’re hurting from the pandemic.

Always a fun round. Pace of play usually pretty good. Few green a little not up yto snuff but overall good. Use Golf Now for Hot Deals which are great.

The people working there are great, and it is the cheapest choice on Maui, but I cannot think of any aspect of the course that warrants positive comment. The greens are bad, and the fairways are worse, with both having poor grass and large patches of bare dirt…. the bunkers are like concrete, the tee boxes sloped, and their feature 18th hole is closed. Wouldn’t waste the money again.
