About
Pukalani Country Club has a unique location at the 1,100-foot elevation of the famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name means “House of the Rising Sun.” The dramatic elevation offers breathtaking views that span the West Maui Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The golf course features wide, undulating fairways and fast, sloped greens. The gently rolling terrain can cause some tricky uneven lies. There are trees and well placed bunkers scattered throughout to provide further challenge. Pukalani Country Club has a unique feature on the par-3 third hole. The hole gives golfers the options of hitting to one of two very different greens, one which requires a tee shot over a tree-filled gully and another that requires a shot beyond a cliff to a pal tree-lined green.

Well Maintained w Great Views
This has been my and buds favorite course over the past few weeks. I’ve been fortunate to play some well known courses as well as play the courses on the west side of the island and Wailea, this course is just as fun as any of those with some great views. They have a limited staff here and they do a good job in maintaining this course. My review by area, staff are very friendly, the restaurant and pro shop are located in trailers after damage to the clubhouse. The food at the restaurant is good. Pro shop is small with some nice items. The driving range tea boxes are like a local Muni not a country club set up, putting greens and chipping area are basis with well maintained greens, tea boxes I’ll give 7 considering lots of use, fairways are really nice and well-kept and in nice shape, greens are well kept run true, they are slow. Frankly, is like all the other sand boxes around here just don’t go in them, the course … There’s not a whole, I don’t like, and the views are great. This course has elevation changes like the one played Jan, downhill holes, uphill holes, over valleys,….it’s just plain fun and challenging.

In general the course is good! Great staff. Just very slow play. Waiting on every hole. 5 hour round
Best hidden gem in Maui
Cannot find better quality price for a golf course in Maui . Great golf course, pleasant staff and good pace of play !
Mountain course
Golfing in Maui is always good. This is a locals course. The price was great. Very challenging in high wind.
Tricky Greens
Course played long in the wind. Round was a bit slow. Over 4 1/2 hours to get around.
Best value in Maui
Just stay out of the bunkers.
Same standing water & muddy bunker conditions for the last 3 years.
