$$ Pricey and Over rated.
This course always charges ridicolusly high prices, and its an average muni course. I gave it a try because the prices are so high i thought it must be a great course. Big mistake, much better courses to play and for alot less money as well. Last time I will play here.
Incredible playing conditions
Though the staff setup the course very, very well. Firm and fast, rolled greens exceeded expectations. Easily the best value of any course I have played this season.

Has a driving range other side of parking lot.
Weather perfect( 73 with low wind, sunny), course well kept with fairways devoid of leaves. Greens fast. Enough challenges to make it interesting but not too challenging. Even the short holes have their own quirks. Yardages well marked and distances to water (17) marked as well.
Finished round in under 4 hours, walking. Will playu again.

Course in good shape! Price is good! Some good holes!
Fair challenge
90 yearly course still holds up well. Fair amount of difficulty. Some deep bunkers, but fair landing areas for the most part. Female friendly (for my wife) aside for a couple deep bunkers she struggled with.
Worth playing for the right price.
$30-weekdays.
$40-weekends.
Sportsman's Golf Club a pleasure
Played on Labor Day, but the pace of play wasn't too bad. The course is in excellent condition and the greens are pretty fast. Many challenging holes, but nothing unfair. You can score well here if you keep the ball near the fairway and can putt with a reasonable touch.
Wonderful Course! I would definitely play it again.

Great Course
Had so much fun. Greens are much faster then what we are use to in the hill country of Texas.
Course was well groomed, people friendly, Had a great time.
Enjoyed our afternoon at Sportsman's
Played as a twosome. Had a great afternoon. Played the first six holes in 1 hour. Then it slowed down some. Played 18 holes in 3:55. Course was in great condition with only a few puddles left from the prior flooding storms.
Deceptively Challenging
Played there regularly for 6 years. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Two shorter par-5's on first nine allow for good scoring possibilities but careful of 8 and 9. Great tests!

Park district golf course poorly maintained for the rate you pay to play. I'm a resident of Nothbrook and there is nothing to boast about the golf course beside the people. Believe new greens keeper was hired a few years back and the course was in great shape but last year the greens were in poor shape; hate the fact you have grounds crew following early in the AM and even late afternoon.
Northbrook Park District need to learn from the groundskeepers that take care of Thunderhawk another park district course but pasrt of Lake County.
