They take care of the course and you - the starter was GREAT, the check in fast and helpful.

This place is a great value and I highly recommend to any experienced player

The course looks very inviting from the start. Very picturesque. As you proceed you'll find that there are more challenges than first appear, so you will need more game here versus other area courses. Water hazards are present throughout so play smart. Overall conditions are very good despite the deluge of rain we have had over the last 10 days. Keep it in the short grass and you'll be a much happier player. Greens are well maintained with multiple levels. They look rather benign but don't get cocky. There are many subtle contours making 3-putts common. Fairways get narrow at times so plan accordingly and approach shots always have traps in play. Traps use "real" sand and are very fair. There are 6 sets of tees so be sure to use the correct ones. Pace was rather slow so don't have immediate plans afterwards or you won't enjoy the experience. It is a nice track with good value and definitely worth the trip from Chicago.

I drove 1.5 hours to play Aldeen, but the deal on received was well worth it. I played 36 holes in about 6 hours in a twosome. Barely ran into anyone all day. The course was in terrific shape. Greens could have been faster, but they weren't slow or shaggy and they ran smooth. We played the tips and it was everything we wanted as far as difficulty. I would recommned Aldeen to anyone I know.

The course was made more difficult this day by a strong southerly wind.

Aldeen is in great shape. What winter damage? None here. Friendly staff, greens were fast and in great shape. I only wish I lived closer to this gem.

1st time playing this course and will definitely go back. The starter actually takes time to welcome you and explain the course conditions for the day. The ranger could not have been friendlier. We were a bit early for the flowers so the course was very green but still beautiful. Plays a bit narrow but no so bad that my left handed slice made it too painful.

even though they just aerated the greens on the front 9 the puts ran true & quick. the front 9 has water in play it was challenging and the back 9 was more straight long. my favorite hole was number 17 but there were many holes that could be the signature hole. this was first time I played the course & was very impressed and can't wait to come back & play it again. we drove 11/2 hours to play on a cold day

My friend and I heard about this course and decided to take the trip from the northern suburbs. It was well worth the drive on I90 to Rockford. The course was in absolutely spectacular condition. Every tee box, fairway, bunker and green were in PERFECT condition. Each hole was prettier than the one before it.
We travel around to as many courses as we can and I have to say although not the hardest course I have played, certainly the best value for the money. this track stands up to any course in the Chicago area. If I lived closer, I would play this every day.

Take the time to play Aldeen. You will not be disappointed.

The fairways and greens were very well maintained. The greens are super fast, but very smooth. You get a true roll every time. The tee boxes have just been aerated, but caused no problems.

Fantastic course, with beautiful fairways, and fast and true greens. Very nice layout. The ONLY negative is getting there, since I-90 is a living nightmare, and always seems to be under construction. Find a different way to drive, and enjoy.

Golfnow deal is the way to play Aldeen! I am a Rockford Resident and I paid $23 for a round a cart off of GolfNow for a Saturday round around 1 PM... If I paid resident rate with cart it would be around $45....

Pace of play was on the slow side which is not new for Aldeen. We did not see a ranger till 17...

Aldeen is always kept in good almost pristine condition... but it is always wet which keeps it from being in pristine condition...

The greens roll true and you can attack the pins because the ball will spin and hold. This is a true parkland track, as you go back and forth and the holes are truly close to each other.

If you are visiting Rockford, I would say play Aldeen and enjoy the awesome practice center, the restaurant and the golf course!

I've played this course since it was built and have loved it. Best maintained course I've been on all year. Greens were amazing, and the rangers actually maintain a good pace of play. Highly recommend this course.

Well worth the drive out to Rockford. Great course and great value.

Played this course for the first time while traveling through town on the recommendation of a friend. The first surprise was an unexpected, bumped-up-to-noon, twilight rate of only $31 to ride. SCHWING!! This course would demand a greens fee of 2-3 times that amount in the Chicago area. Impeccable condition with an excellent variety of holes. A definite MUST PLAY for anyone!

It has been years since I last played here but the course has matured nicely. Was in excellent condition and the greens were rolling fast. I will definitely be making a return visit before the season ends.
