The Preserve at Oak Meadows

About
Formerly Oak Meadows Golf Course, The Preserve at Oak Meadows reopened in 2017 with a new name and following extensive renovations over a two-year span. Formerly a 27-hole layout on 288 acres, the transformation was a conservation and recreation project by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County that took the 1920s-era design and modernized it for drainage and environmental sensitivity. From a playability standpoint, conditions will be more durable in the face of flooding, while eco-friendly highlights include improved water quality within Salt Creek, increased local flood relief by 20 million gallons and the enhancement of an environmental refuge for both golfers and wildlife.

Do not play on Friday afternoon unless you like 5.5 hour rounds!
Worse pace of play I've seen anywhere for a $115 round , won't be back , won't recommend either. Saw a course marshall once, backed up on every hole 2 groups deep and all he can say is do t pull the carts off the path when you're at the tee boxes! Really, your job is to move slow players along. We had two from our group leave without finishing at 5:15pm from a 12:20 start!! Better courses , could've played Prairie Landing.
Terrible value way overpriced
I'm not sure what everyone is thinking but i for sure feel like this place is way overpriced. Conditions are good for public, but its just not a $100+ a person course. $20 per person to ride is ridiculous. It was a fee added during covid to “clean carts” and somehow has been kept on. $40 for 2 people to ride a cart is just plain stealing. How are there not more people asking these questions;
this is supposed to be ran by dupage forest preserve, so Im sure dupage taxpayers dollars are appropriated to this facility one way or another, well then where is the dupage resident discount?…
So like i said, this place isnt worth spending your money at. Maybe when they come down to earth and change their fees to something more appropriate, $60-$70 MAX at peak hours with a cart, then they'll get back my business.
COURSE AND STAFF
The gentleman in the Pro Shop at 3:00 Monday
afternoon was very helpful and took care of me right away…The course was in great shape l think the
Greens need some cosmetic up keep..too many
ball marks..I’m surprised that golfers seeing how nice the course is that they would want to repair ball marks and divots..l myself fixed marks and divots and they weren’t mine..l came from ORLAND PARK and I’ll be back..thanks for a wonderful time..Matt
Just awesome!
Course is in great shape ! Caught a opening and we flew threw 18 in 3 hours!
Highly recommend!
Greens
I just played the course on Tuesday. The course is awesome but unfortunately the greens are something to be desired. They are NOT well maintained as they should be for the price. Every putt on every green was like going over landmines... for some reason they are not rolling the greens. I've spoken to other golfers and they have said they same thing when they have there this year.
No help for ADA or seniors
It was cart path only which I understand but am physically unable to walk that much
All other courses have provisions this on the pro shop said NO very uncaring
I will be reporting them to the ADA
Find a golfnow deal, they are way overpriced
Friday was the only day that we could play, and they were pretty full. So we each coughed up the $80 plus an additional $20 for cart fees. I cannot stress enough that the price is way too high. This is not a $100 course by a long shot. You can play Blackstone for $79.
They got my money, and that's fine as we had a good time, and the course was in good shape. I will not return for those prices tho. 100's of other courses in northern IL far cheaper for the same basic layout and no cart girl.
