Orchards Golf Course
About
The Orchards Golf Club in Belleville offers an 18-hole championship course designed by Belleville native and former Masters winner Bob Goalby. With four sets of tees, the course appeals to a wide range of skill levels. The layout starts out with a gentler front nine where you won’t find any doglegs on the first six holes but as you move towards the back nine, the course gets more challenging. The golf course has an interesting and diverse mix of holes, with the seventh through the 14th being a particularly notable stretch. You’ll have to contend with abundant out-of-bounds and both water and sand come into play often. In addition to the golf course, the Orchards G.C. boasts a multi-level driving range as well as a large practice putting green with a sand bunker.

Great Experience
Course is in great shape this year and was very surprised as to the quality of the greens compared to last year. Will definitely be back again
Return customer
I enjoy playing this course. The first 6 holes blend together. They are fairly wide open. 7-18 are fairly similar. They are fairly narrow with an exception or two. Couple of the tee boxes were a little shaggy. The greens were a little challenging with some of the bunkers around them. Other than that not bad.
Slow
Log jam on the weekend. Lots of old people and not the kind that play very often. The worst kind. 'Get directions' feature on Golf Now app also sent us to the wrong place.
Great course transformation!!
It has been a couple years since I played here, because the last time there the course was not in good shape. But the changes the course leadership have made are excellent and obvious. The holes they cleared out around and the greens that were redone looked great. Hope they keep up the great job.
This course the best hotdogs of all the courses in the area.
The greens & tee boxes were in really nice shape. The fairways are in really need of some work. Overall all the course has always been a great place to play because of the layout. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The pace of play was nice.
great value
went on a beautiful 70 degree day excellent course conditions and the pace of play was great everyone seems to stay in sync with one another not any wait time
Great day to start the season!
Have not been plating due to winter weather, this was a perfect day. I gave the course conditions a average rating due to the first thaw has made the course rather sloppy. Ice and snow here and there. Ponds still frozen, some greens still shaded and hard, even a frozen cup! Will be back again!
A great value
A very enjoyable course with a brutal finishing hole. I rechecked the card to see if it was one of those rare par six's but unfortunately was not. I live in West County St. Louis and it was worth the long drive there.
The course was in better shape this year with the redone holes then in prior years.
The course was in good shape. The greens were in excellet shape. They rolled true and while we started off in mid-day, you could tell some one was fixing the ball marks continously. The fairway grass was going dormant, but was good and the other grass was being cut.
Limited play
Too bad GolfNow didn't note that only the back 9 was open. The front 9 was under repair to aerate the greens
This course was enjoyabel to play and I like the narrow fairways with tree lines
I would suggest some signage from hole 9 to 10 and to the club house from 18. Looking forward to going back!
Too many bookings scheduled at one time.
We enjoyed the course but did not enjoy having to wait so long because tee times were scheduled at once.
Great place to take your girlfriend
I played with my girlfriend on a Saturday with a 1:50 tee time. No one was on the tee box so we went off at 1:30 ... Their are a couple of fairways that are in rough shape. For the most part the greens were in good shape. As much slope as there was to many of the greens the ball did not break as much as you would think.. Traps were the same way , some where in great shape others under repair. The back is harder then the front. The place was wide open on a Saturday afternoon. Its close to my house so very convenient. We got a Golf Now hot deal and paid for 2 golfers for what I would normally pay for just one. Great for the price. Would not be a course I would pick if I had a larger group of players. Would rate it along the same lines as Fairfield - Triple lakes - Mystic. At the right price , its a good place to hone your game.
Maybe if they do some work
The greens and tee boxes were ok at best. There was a fair amount of burnt patches on each. The fairways were terrible, bare dirt in many different locations. The only thing I can say is that I am glad I didn't pay much.
Course has Improved immensely
Course has improved overall as the greens and tee boxes were in very good shape. Some rairways are wet for unknown reason (and it's dry). Not all of the grass is in on the fairways as well.
Help Wanted
I played it on a Hot Deal, or else I would have been upset. Greens were ok, just really slow... but the course was in rough condition, perhaps from the drought last year. I can't recommend it.
Great course poor conditions
The course was good as far as layout and ease of use. The fairways were rough and under repair.
The range master monitored was not real cordial and seemed to hover a bit.
Golf now rate was not a discount for the time period we played.
not good
fairways, rough and tee boxes need a lot of work - won't be back for a long time to give you time to work on your problems.
Friendly staff!
Greens looking better and fairways are on the mend. Staff said they lost the course two years ago but they've been working hard to get back to a great course. The staff is very very friendly and does everything & anything in their power to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great experience! I play this course because they are so nice every time I go!
Good Course in the STL Area
Orchards has a good set-up of holes. They are working very hard to make it a great course. Some of the fairways have some bare spots, but the greens are in great condition. I always enjoy playing the Orchards and I would recommend it to anyone. The Golfnow price was outstanding and too good to pass up!
