Pretty Good
The STL golf snobs May turn their noses up at a par 3 course, but for 10 bucks as a hot deal it’s pretty darn good! Greens are in very good shape, puts to shame some of the big dollar courses in the area, and get this Metro Least bumpkins: ball marks repaired here! Nice little place to hone your short game. Only draw back are the tee boxes in desperate need of water, bring a hammer and nail to get a broken tee in.
Not bad
A part 3 course. Surprised the greens were in good shape. There are a few cart paths, most of the time just drive to the green. A fun course. And for $10, you can't beat it. Fast play.
Value Par 3 Course
Great hot deal through Golf Now. 18 holes with cart for less than $15. Greens were in great shape.
Nice Par 3 Course
Outstanding course to work on iron play. The course was in nice condition and the greens were as good or better than the 15 courses I've played this year.
Can’t beat it
Nice little Par 3 Course with just enough hazards to make it interesting to a novice like me.
Great price
All 4 of us got to play for the price you would normally pay for 1. Excellent!
Teed off and cartless
After booking an 18 hole round the previous day, with cart, I arrived at the appointed hour, only to find the course closed. This made getting a cart impossible, which I would have appreciated, given my sore foot.
I decided to make the best of it, by trying to find a way on to this fenced course, to try to play a round on foot. After driving down to the lower part of the course, I found a stretch that was not fenced, and proceeded to play a round walking. As for the course, the current conditions are mediocre to bad tees, fairway conditions average at best for a par 3 course, but the greens, although slow, were surprisingly good. They rolled true, and took drives well. The slowness is quite understandable, given the time of year. Some of the holes were well designed, and challenging.
This is a lighted facility, but the lights are not operational at this time. Assuming they successfully install the LED lights, this will be a most enjoyable place to have a few beers while playing on a warm summer night.
Great Course for the money!!
I really enjoy Yorktown. It is a fun course especially for novice golfers like myself. If you like a par 3 course you will love Yorktown
Best kept secret
We love this three par course the staff is friendly and the pace of play is excellent. They continue to make improvements to the course last year all new bridges and this year new hole markers. Some areas are a little roughy in the fairways and tee boxes but they continue to work on those and the greens continue to get better since they are vigilant in trying to improve them. Overall this course is great especially if you want to work on your short game or are a beginner.
wet
I realize that it is early spring, but the course needs a lot of help. Tee boxes are non-existent for grass, and most of the areas around the tee boxes are lacking grass. Greens weren't too bad.
Just an FYI, Hot deals on golfnow include cart, but since there are no true cart paths, if the weather is wet, carts aren't available to be used. However, I was given a pass for another round, walking.
Good course terrible management
Went and played golf today with my dad and sister for my 21st all was going well until the group of guys in front of us decided to do donuts on the 15th hole tee box and then flipped the golf cart after hitting a tree. They then came up in our face hold a club so we called the office and all that happened was the manager came out talked to them and shook hands and let them play on.
DO NOT PLAY THIS "COURSE"
Worst golf course I've ever played. The tee boxes are horrible, a few just had mud and dirt, no grass. Every single green was in horrible condition. There are no black tee boxes, most holes are just over 100 yards. Save your time and money.
Great time
I loved this course and it was definitely my kind of course with a great pace of play
Great short game course
This course is a great short game tester. All you really need is Iron clubs and your putter. Course was really nice. Tees did seem to have some wear, but when teeing off with Irons, it is to be expected. It may have just been today due to weather the past few days, but the greens were really fast. All in all a good course to check up on your short game.
Par 3 course
This is a nice little Par 3 course. The Tee boxes are a bit in need of some work but the greens were amazing. Well done on the care of the greens, which is the most important part of a Par 3.
Enough water to make some holes a bit harder, but not a difficult course at all.
I really enjoyed my round. Walked 18, less than 3 miles on "map my walk" and took about an hour and half. I was the first one on the course so not sure how it would be later in the day.
Great Course for Improving Your Irons
A very good course to learn distance and accuracy with your irons and wedges. Even though its a par 3 it is challenging with water hazards and interesting pin placement on the green.
Walking or riding its easy to know which way to go. Very family friendly and a great course to learn on without feeling overwhelmed by a large course.
Super friendly staff, always! Limited food menu but a good drink selection!
