Blackberry Oaks Golf Club
About
Blackberry Oaks in Bristol is a public golf course that has been recognized as one of the Chicagoland area's best courses. The course design utilizes the natural beauty and hazards of the landscape including the native wetlands, grassy prairies, and towering stands of mature oaks. Blackberry Creek also meanders through the course. In addition to the natural hazards, a heavy smattering of strategically placed bunkers was also incorporated into the design. Although it can seem intimidating, the golf course isn't overly formidable if you can manage to stay out of the sand and water. The third and 12th holes are two par 4s that are memorable for their water hazards. The third has a lake along either side and the 12th has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water.

Great course for the value
Had a great round at Blackberry Oaks, finished in just short of 4 hours on the weekend. Course is in good shape, excellent course for the value.
JUST GO PLAY THERE!
Fun and fairly challenging golf course to play. Tees, Fairways, traps and greens all in great shape.

Nice course
Nicely laid out course with a good number of challenging holes. LOTS of water, nearly every hole. If you can stay in the fairway you will be fine, as the rough was high.
Nice Course, Slow Pace
Overall it was a good day at Bliss. The course was in pretty good shape. They did have quite a few leaves and branches down possibly from the storm the night before. They only downside of the round was the pace. We were waiting on almost every tee box. Other than that, it was a good course and well taken care of.
Fun course
Fun little course, fair amount of water hazards. Quick greens but Bunkers were in somewhat lacking sufficient sand. New carts with built in speakers, GPS and live golf!!
Very enjoyable
The course is in great condition and provides a decent challenge. Brand new carts make the round very enjoyable without having to bring a bunch of accessories. Highly recommend
Solid muni
Nice track. Solid layout. As expected from a municipal course. Weekdays wide open
Must have been a "seniors" day!
Nice course, super friendly staff....but I must have picked a bad day...so slow, I quit after 4 holes.
An investment in a starter and/or ranger would go a long way! Good value...deserves at least one more chance.
Interesting...thank you!
