Horrible pace of play
Wow, what an horrible experience last Friday...
Not sure what was going on, but it took us 3 hours to complete the front 9. there were 2 groups waiting at each tee box.
Next time, put a starter in place and have a ranger police all that mess.
No Rangers
Unbelievable how slow play was, had to literally wait on every shot with the exception of putts. There was no ranger and it was clear what group was holding up play. there were two groups on every tee and on a couple of holes 3 groups. As much as I like the course, I doubt I will ever play there again. IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!
The view of course so nice/fabulous
I would like to come a play, maybe this place (golf course) good for me/like to much!!
Thanks .
Too slow pace and no marshals management
It took 3 hours to play front nine. I gave up to play back nine. I haven't seen any marshal driving around, but drink lady. It's not the course you want to play twilight.
No staff, no service
The course was in good condition. There is a bag drop, but no staff to help. You are responsible for finding a cart and loading your clubs. The cart was dirty. No friendliness in the pro shop. They just take your payment. There is no range, only a practice putting green. The tee time was 10:00 AM on a Saturday. The round was completed at 3:10 PM; over five hours to play. We had to wait on many tees and fairways. There were no rangers to monitor play. The group behind us hit into us three times, even though we were in position with the group in front of us. On the back nine, the beverage cart driver was more interested in her cell phone than stopping to allow you to purchase some refreshments. Upon completion of the round, there is no staff to clean your clubs and direct you where to return the cart. The course needs more staff and management needs to remind the staff that were are the customer.
Real Golfers Fix Their Ballmarks
Great course, lots of forced carry drives and approaches. Water everywhere as well. This is a course to challenge yourself.
BUT WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ALL OF THE GOLFERS THAT DIDN'T FIX THEIR BALL MARKS?!?
I could not believe how many huge marks were just left on every green, I fixed at least 5 on each green just because I didn't need to walk very far to do it.
I usually don't like rangers bothering me out on a course but they should put someone on every green to shame anyone who hits the green on the fly and doesn't fix their ball mark. And maybe give away free repair tools with greens fee.
Good Course at Great Price
Arboretum is a very good course that I had only played once or twice more than ten years ago. It was much better than I remembered, with lots of interesting holes and great conditions. A very enjoyable round. It's a great course, especially for the price. Highly recommended.
Enjoyable but Challenging
Course is fun to play but very challenging if you're not hitting the ball straight. Lots of water and bunkers. Overall a fun course to play.
Challenging but fair course with lots of water and narrow Landing zones.
Love this course because of the funky layout. Lots of elevation changes, strategic bunker placement, and plenty of water. Probably not the best course for a high handicapper, but anybody that's 15 and under should really enjoy their experience here. Bring lots of balls though, cuz you're hitting to narrow Landing zones and balls can run through and be difficult to find. Also, easy to get to off of the Tri-State from the city.
Good Value
The course plays short at times and longer at others. Greens were fast but not extremely fast. They did not hold because they had not been watered recently. Once I adjusted to the harder greens, my score went down. The wind plays a big part in how tough the holes played. Holes into the wind brought the water and rough more into play. If played during less wind the course would be a bit benign. Nice track.
Narrow course. Good challenge
Course was difficult with narrow fairways lined with houses and/or water. Challenging greens made it good fun. Most of the tee boxes were level (pet peeve of mine) and the fairways had a distinct line between the rough. Bunkers are hard sand and greens were a little weedy but overall this is a very good course to play for the price. Would play again and again.
Beautiful Course
I always enjoy playing this course. The layout makes you play position golf. The greens were true, but a little dried out. Got a couple of big bounces with the approach shots. Still, it was a great day on a beautiful course.
Good Value on Golf Now deal
11:27 tee time
Didn't see 1 ranger on the course to speed up play
5 hour round but other than that it was a great day
