Best Value Course
Good price. The grass was tall. Rough was very heavy. Lots of leaves on the ground. But overall good course. Clubhouse had drinks and golf essentials for sale.
Great course
I’ve enjoyed golfing at Burnham over 30 years.
Staff is great, good value for 18 holes.
Needs some work
The course was not in bad condition but a few of the greens were damaged. The biggest problem was all the leaves on the fairways and all over the greens. Losing balls because of the leaves throws your game and rhythm off. It’s sad to know that Cook County is charge of this course but has not invested in the course in comparison to other courses they manage
Good value
Burnham woods is everything you'd expect for a forest preserve course. It's definitely not the worst I've ever played. I'd say the value, more than makes up for a less manicured facility. Friendly staff and pace of play is usually not bad at all. Very large, beautiful trees line the entire place! And unless you're one to stripe every shot down the fairway. ..you might want to be sure to bring more than a couple of golf balls to this joint, as they're gonna be SURELY lost deep into the golf ball abyss.
First Impressions
Played Burnham Woods for the first time, I like the course and the friendly staff. The course need a little help as far as maintenance. Great potential! Nice layout that challenges ones game, not very long but stay straight or pay the consequences.
Never going back
Horrible conditions would be a decent course if they actually put some love and care into the course. They have Gatorade in the can huge plus
Not bad
The course is tight with holes close together. In ok condition for a municipal. Needs a little work for better review
Great value
This course is currently in great condition. It has very few sand traps and/or water hazards. However, there are lots of trees with fairly tight fairways. My only complaints are there are no course restrooms, the sprinklers were going on 3 of the tee boxes, no food at the turn other than chips, candy bars etc...Other than those things the facility is wonderful & I will be better prepared for my next round.
Tight tough short course
Top value without the crowd. Narrow fairways and postage stamp greens. Fair, fun, fast, and a good challenge through the trees.
