Slow play made for a frustrating day
I’ve played Vernon Hills a number of times but today featured the slowest play yet. There was no one there to move people along. With rain approaching we wanted to finish before getting soaked. We were lucky to have escaped the rain. I know it sounds petty but when a two-some and a single are in front of you the pace should be better.

Great Mid April 9 Hole Outing
Tees, greens, fairways, traps were in excellent condition for mid April and following some rainy days. Meandering creek was challenging but never flooded. It far exceeded my expectations for a 9 hole municipal course.

Blustery day Christopher Robin
Played mid morning and found the course to be in good shape for the fall. No leaves, which is a bonus, and everything was nicely appointed. Found it interesting that there were Ladies/Red tees, on only 3-4 holes, but my wife made her own tee boxes and on we played. Had fun and weather permitting, we’ll be back again before the snow hits.
