Good value for the money
We enjoyed playing Cary Country Club and will go back, conditions were average but the greens were in excellent shape. Hilly course so riding is a plus.
Retired mowers running the course
We Booked online. 7 am tee time , didn’t know it was the first one of the day . Sunrise at 5:15 am, so I assumed tee times would start around 6. We got there at 6:30, clubhouse locked. Nobody there , could here some mowers however . 5 minutes later a guy opens up and says give me a few minutes , no issues , since our tee times isn’t until 7. We go in about 6:40 and check in, guys gives us the keys to cart and says , you can go when you are ready , my dad and I say cool , get off first and early , it’s going to be 95 degrees later . A guy is mowing the first fairway . We hit , he drives by and taps his watch , saying we were early I assume. A few holes later another guy comes by and says we weren’t supposed to tee off until 7, please not hit the mowers . I was like what ? We were never close to hitting anybody and we always pay attention . We just said the clubhouse said we could go when we were ready , and we did .
Didn’t see a starter or ranger , I guess you don’t need them when you retired men mowing , actually running the course . Not very welcoming . Any other course I played , if a guy mowing , they stop ,pull aside and let you hit . But , hey , we are from Ohio , maybe on bigger cities , old men on mowers have more pull .

Good course for the money. Recommended!
This course is a good value for the money. The greens run surprisingly true for the price. Fairways were in okay shape, not the best but I've seen far worse. The bunkers are below average. Again, not the worst, but not good either. At least there weren't rocks in the bunkers.
This has nothing to do with the state of the course, but as a heads up: I wanted to get some exercise while golfing, so I decided to take my push cart and walk 18. I do not recommend walking this course as it is extremely hilly, but that's not the courses fault.

Do Not Walk!
What a beautiful course. So many elevated tees and spectacular views. Who knew Illinois was so hilly? Course was in great shape, greens were fast and undulating. Try to stay below the hole. Course is pretty wide open. I pushed my pull cart up the 11th fairway, but won’t do that again! A very enjoyable day of golf

Not very well maintained, fairways were long grass more like a second cut.
Needs maintenance, grass in fairways not rolled very long more like second. Cut
challenging
pins are set to make it very challenging, which is great.
