Great secret in the NW suburbs
Great course. Love the elevation changes. Greens were in good shape and rolled pure. Staff was very friendly. Pace was great for a Sunday morning. Will definitely come back.

Rude check-in, poor conditions
Lady checking us in was very rude. We get to the course for a 7:53 tee time on a Saturday, and my partner tried to go in twice to check us in but there was no one at the counter. He grabs a cart and a lady outside asks if he can grab from a different set of carts. That's fine. I remember I got an email saying the course was SmartPlay enabled and we could check in online and head to the first tee box. So I check us in online, since we had already prepaid. I grab the cart to head back to my car for something, and the same lady yells at me and asks if I checked in. I say yes, and she says I couldn't have since she's the only one there. I ask can't I do it online, she says no. (Okay, then 1. Why is she outside policing people on carts if she is the only one there and 2. Why did I get an email saying I could check in online). So she checks in 2 people ahead of me, who pay. Then she checks me in and says "Please be careful with the carts, they're very expensive". Which I thought was VERY rude, since she didn't tell the two men before me (a woman) that. Rudeness,combined with the fact I couldn't get any putting/swing practices in, completely ruined my morning. Greens were like cement and a lot of the course under repair. Starter and cart girl were super nice though. But I will not be returning.

League Practice
The course played slow today only because there was a group in front of us that was practicing, for their league which started later in the afternoon. So they were hitting multiple balls and trying different shots rather than just playing each hole. That should definitely not be allowed. When I asked them about it they said they were in the league that started at 2:00 and they are allowed to play all day anyway they want.

Very poor mangement
It took nearly 6 hours to play. At the 13th tee there were 4 groups waiting to tee off. The starter did an awful job sending groups off. With the weekend hackers on a course as hilly as this, there should be 10 minutes between tee times instead of the the laughable 8 minutes they feebly try.
The cart girl was doing her business in the middle of fairways and spent way too much time admittedly flirting with the golfers. I don't blame her trying to hustle tips but should learn some golf etiquette.
A terrible experience, NEVER going back.
We are sorry about your negative experience, and understand your frustrations. We try to keep our rangers and starters for many hours on weekends, but we are also having a problem with keeping our course staffed fully. Thank you for your review.

General course experience!
The only complaint was that the rough needed to be cut back a bit. Cary is a very friendly course and the staff is great. Cary is doing a great job with maintaining the course this year. Kate is a great asset to CC ,she is very friendly and know how to treat her guests. Kate's downfall was she said she would keep the rain away on Sunday and didn't hold true to her word! Well I guess there are just somethings that are out of her control! Thanks Kate for a great experience Sunday.

Don’t be fooled
This course is in public course shape as far as fairways go. Greens are in great shape and roll true. The layout is fantastic. Up and down for 18 holes. Great vistas with elevation. Highly recommended for a casual round!

Grounds were much better !
This was the best green and tees than I have seen in a long time. They were being taken care of much better. Enjoyed playing there.

I played this coarse earlier in the year and what an improvement the fairways and greens where in much better shape today than I have seen earlier, also the lawnmowers would stop when you were hitting the ball very nice of yhem!
