Fall Golf
Course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. The rough was longer than typical which added some challenge but overall in pretty good shape.

Great Day
Love this course. I live 30 miles away from Cary. Greens are in PERFECT condition. I play here at least once a week. The rough is really a problem. I thought leaves would be a problem this time of the year. There were hardly any leaves but I lost 3 golf balls in the rough. I found some balls in the rough but they were not mine. The balls I lost were less than 10 years from the fairway. Please cut the rough an extra inch so players can find their ball, hit the ball out of the rough and it will really speed up play. It takes a long time to find balls that are only a few yards off the fairway.

Fun course
Like rolling terrain . Has drainage issues. Course is not mowed properly, especially the rough is grown too big at places.

Usual
I live 30 miles away from this course. I usually play here at least once a week and sometimes twice a week. I wish the rough grass was at least a 1/2 inch shorter so it would not be so difficult to find golf balls hit into the rough. It would help to speed up play as well. This time of the year you have to be in the fairway to get any roll. HELP!!!

A pleasant surprise
Took advantage of a dirt cheap Hot Deal to play this course for the first time. My cousin had played there 7 years ago and was not impressed, but after talking to the pro shop, we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did - we were impressed with the layout, course conditions and beauty. It's an old style course with wide blue grass fairways, mature oaks , and small greens. The elevation changes are unique to the Chicago area and offer some great views. From the white tees at 6,160 yds it's a good test of your skills. It rained the day before, and we got caught in a 20 min. downpour on the 10th green, but the course drains well, although the traps were wet, only the 16th fairway had standing water. The only drawback is the lack of a driving range, and you better have GPS to find your way to the course. We will be back.
