Cary Country Club

I have played this course for more than thirty years and it is my favorite course in the Chicago area. A challenging layout with watered fairways and professional level greens. Well maintained course with excellent management.

Great course for scoring, practice hybrids and quite reflection on your game. Course was in good shape for March. Just needed tee markers and spring cleanup completed.

Course was what to be expected this time of year.

paid more thru Golf Now than we could have paid at the course. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. Hopefully you'll make it right!!!!!!!!!!!!

played last week ,good to see much needed sand in the bunkers! good job! the good rating is only because it was febuary and the greens were a little rough ,but usually they are excellant

Played this course last summer with friends. We usually walk so we did this rime. Big mistake because it was a very hot day. The course is close to the Fox river and very hilly so we were just hoping to survive the weather on the back nine. Afterwards, we headed straight to the bar and the friendly bartender helped us get re-hydrated!

I have been playing here for the better part of 30 years. We always have a great time, and even though I only visit Chicagoland a few time a year, this is where we always play. And the fresh Italian sausage sandwich at the turn is just the cherry on the Sundae! Great place that never disappoints.

I've been playing at the CCC for about 4 years now. The staff has always been very nice and welcoming! And the course has been kept in pristine conditions the past two years! The greens are always fast and smooth, they do a great job keeping fairways swept clean of brush and keeping rough not too long. This course could use a few more trees to increase the challenge, but the hills make up for the lack of trees. If you want to experience a course unlike any other around IL, this is the place to go! It has remarkable views with the huge amount of hills! If you want a challenge then this course on a windy day would be the perfect test for your game. Absolutely my favorite course by far. No where compares to the views and challenge of the greens! The practice green and practice holes are a great addition to the course as well! And the club house always has had excellent choices for a mid-round snack or dinner! This is the place to be!

My husband and I played this course for years. It was our Sunday thing to do. I especially enjoyed teeing off from the top of the hills. We always enjoyed our day and the friendliness of all the people. I miss playing Cary now that I live in South Carolina. I know there are better courses but Cary will always be my course of choice.

Course is tucked in some backwoods of Cary, starts out with some short easy holes, then gets a bit more challenging as you progress. Several steep hills if you want to walk, but doable as green to tees is a short hike.

Cary CC is a nice little course, close to home, reasonable rates and challenging enough for a player of my capabilities. I have no established handicap and have no plans on doing so. I usually shoot in the low 90's and occasionally in the upper 80's. This course has no houses to fear so for that reason alone, I dig it. It challenges with some length, accuracy on the par 3's and shot making from the fairways with approaches. The one down side to CCC is the pace of play can get so s l o w {seems to draw a lot of, shall I say "rookies"}

that I'd rather pay an additional $15 - $25 bucks where it might not get so crowded. But when it's playing quick, I love this course!

Haven't played here for a number of years but some friends were going out on a $15 GolfNow rate figured it was worth the drive out there. Great weather but the course was still sloppy in some areas from rain a day or two before. Greens were pretty quick though they looked slow. Pace was good though there were at least a few single golfers sent out pushing the pace and trying to play through. The course layout is fun and there are some fun holes. Would definitely play again at the right rate. Fair old school golf course

This place is going down hill.

Entitled management with no accountability.

Do not expect any type of rain check for any circumstance.

First the good: Fun elevations and the bar is nice. That's all I have to say good. There are only two sets of tees and really only one for the most part. Nearly all the white and red tees share the same teeing ground. The rough Is very high and thick and the fairways are cut narrow. The greens are on the small side and in poor condition. It's late season so I will give them a parcial pass on that. The USGA promotes 'Play it Forward" but this place didn't get the memo.

This is a parkland type course; wide open fairways; average fairway condition; good greens; not a particularly challenging tract but some nice elevated views.

This course hasn't changed in 40 years.The greens were better than I remembered.The rest of the layout is very average.The elevation changes are the only real challenge.

The people running the course were very friendly and helpful.

The course is laid out very hilly, with several unique holes. It is on the short side from a distance standpoint, but the hill contours create challenging shots.

The rough is fairly deep and at times it is difficult to locate your ball. But if you stay in the fairway you can score well.

If you have never golfed this course, you have to go. The layout is excellent. Very hilly with many tee boxes well above the holes and fairways. The greens and fairways are in great condition and the rough is a bit longer so it certainly challenges you. I would recommend this course to anyone. Also take advantage of their specials like $30 Thursdays, which includes lunch with your round.

Have played CCC for years.

This round, holes were cut in a very sloppy fashion.

Course was in decent shape, but we played for $19, so the value was high.

We were stuck behind what seemed to be a senior men's league. Everyone was very friendly, but it was pretty slow.

Worth money, worth the time, but it is not a top notch experience.

This is a nice course, challenging elevation changes. Greens are usually in good condition but the tee boxes and rough are basically the same length. Some TLC to the tee boxes would be nice. Everyone I've played here the pace of play is terrible. No Marshall on the course but they have a starter. The price is right for the value but it's just a few tweaks away from being a great course!
