CPO, but pace of play was not bad at all... finished in 3 1/2 Hrs with a 4some in front of us, while CPO.

Course was in good condition considering the amount of rain we had over the past 2 weeks and the night before

The pace of play was unbearable. It was bad enough that people were leaving the course/skipping holes to get around the slow groups. There were no marshals to help the situation.

At 80yrs.young it was a tough day with cart path only. I enjoyed the challenge but I had to give it up on 17/18 due to a knee acting up. I WILL BE BACK, Marty Sweazea

Lots of layup type holes with long grass areas in the middle of the fairways. The back nine is very interesting and picturesque. The greens were a little slow but rolled true. Sand bunkers were not maintained and had to rake and place. Club house and grill is excellent.

It’s spring, the course is still coming to life. Fairways are coming in and it’s great to see the greens being saved from last year.

Pace was on the slow side. Our 4-some caught the 2-some in front of us on #5. We waited every shot from then on.

At the turn, the marshall asked us if we hit into them on 9, which one guy unknowingly did from 250 out on a par 5 into the wind. We told him they hadn’t to speed up. His response was “Well one of them plays league out here and they are playing best ball.”

What does any of that matter? They are a 2-some holding up a 4-some, with no one in sight in front of them.

He THEN put a different 2-some in front of us, to put a “cushion” between us, because that guy was upset about the shot on the par 5.

NOW WE HAD TO WAIT LONGER!

None of it wasn’t the end of the world, but come on.

I really like Far Oaks a lot it's a fun layout and is usually in good shape. That being said I don't know what courses can do to speed up play but I can't stand 5 hour rounds and having to wait on every shot and hole. There are way to many people playing the wrong tees for their ability!!! Also if you're going to hit balls all over the place use a cheaper ball so you don't have to spend 5-10 minutes on every hole looking for your ProV 1 ....last rant go to the driving range instead of to the course blind !

The greens and fairways were spot on, The rough just outside of the fringes was a little Baron other than that the course was in great shape really enjoyed my round

This course is beautiful & in a beautiful setting. Fairways are in great shape. There were several greens that are definitely in need of repair. It was hard putting on these because of their condition. Hopefully they will repair these soon. If I do recommend this course I will tell them about the greens. I would like to play here again but will wait till the greens are repaired.

75% of the greens you can’t even putt oN. Every bunker is unplayable. Place has gone downhill FAST. This used to be one of the better tracks in the metro area.

They need a sign in the pro shop or when you call they need to notify you the course is in lousy condition.

They have installed fans on most of the greens. Whoever thought of the placement of these fans must be blind. Some of them sit right in front of a green side bunker. So if the bunkers were playable, you have no shot with a 5 ft fan directly in your way. Example #2 upper right green side bunker

Also, none of the players are fixing a single ball mark out here. Every green was littered with ball marks from the hacks out here. Do your job as a golfer and fix your mark and another one. That does not happen out here.

Not sure what is going on here, but won’t be coming back here for a year or so until they can figure out the conditions.

They have completely lost their greens. I can't believe it. I'm not sure if it's a fungus or a disease, but the greens are shot. They aren't burnt or under watered. They are just a mess.

The fairways were perfect. The rough was above average for St. Louis in July.

Once they get the greens back, it will absolutely be a 5 star review.
