Terrible experience
My 11 year old son and I played there yesterday. It's mid-April and there was zero work done to manicure the golf course! There was no distinction between the fairway and the rough. None. There were downed tree branches everywhere. This place hasn't cut the grass since at least last year. At the turn, we decided it was unplayable. We asked for the a refund on the back nine and they refused. They didnt even offer a rain check for a later date. When I said the course was not playable, the response was "It's April what do you expect." Well, every other Illinois course is in shape to play! If you're not, then you should warn the golfers before hand that the course is in very poor shape. The response was completely un professional and insulting. I will never come back to play here again.
Shaggy!
Nice course. More expensive than past. No Ranger,🤷♂️ Shaggy tees and long rough. Hard to find balls. Could be a really good track with a little bit of care!. Cut the Grass!!!
Re visit after a couple of years
Course layout is nice, some changes were made. Much fairer, now that the 10th hole is a par 5, rather than a par 4.
Nice course
The course overall is in good shape. The tee boxes need to be tended to a bit more. Always enjoy playing here.
Very Pleasant Day on the course
Very enjoyable course. It was fair, but challenging. Greens were okay, but not sensational. Very, very enjoyable. A very good value.
I was very satisfied with my first time playing this course.
Look forward to playing it again.
Thanks for the great “deal” GolfNow!
Great day, had a great time. Played at the right time. No one ahead of us and no one behind us.
Needs lots of help
Fairways were in good shape. Rough full of dandelions and was cut way to high to find balls that rolled off fairway into early rough stages. Greens were in sad shape lots of browning.
Worth it for the money
It's a muni course. Back 9 is in better condition than the first 9. It is a good value for the money.
Not bad for November 7th
Fairways were in really good shape.
Heavy rains prior week left as few bunkers in less than ideal conditions.
Greens had been aerated and were a mixed bag of very bumpy to little bumps.
Really like the layout of this course,
All in all considering the time of year , pretty darn good.
Late in the year review
Walking up to the tee box.. there were no tee markers so you guess where the tee box is. Greens were aerated a month ago supposedly but greens looked like they did it last week or two weeks ago. Course was a little wet but not too bad and only a couple holes had a lot of leaves on the ground. Carts had to be in by 4pm but it’s still light outside till 4:30 so we finished our round at 4:30 and there wasn’t an issue. Glad I only paid 25. Good bang for your buck here
The pace of play is pitiful. When one has to wait to hit
a shot on each and every shot it tales a lot of fun, and creates a lot of frustration. Charge a little more and hire a full time ranger to move some of the old flops along at a respectable pace.
