Great Course Layout and very challenging
Course received about an inch of rain the day before we played. Made it a bit easier to hold greens but slowed putts. We have played here several times in the past and each time the course provides a great golf experience
Only issue I would note is that the course is very strict with adhering to tee times when booked through Golfnow. We had a noon tee time and checked if there were open times before our scheduled time. We were told there were several twosomes from 10:30 throughnoon but we were not allowed to tee off early with any of the other twosomes because we had booker a later time through Golfnow. That approach seemed difficult to understand as the course would receive the same revenue either way. Not a deal breaker but something to consider when booking your tee time.
Absolutely worth long driving to play.hidden gem
Great round of one birdie, six pars on this very hard course.
Remote Gem
Outstanding layout on all 18. Played 2x now,, absolutely love the layout. No holes really run side by side. Poor shots are penalized. Greens appear to have a minor disease, but very playable.
Worth the drive, great value.
Sand traps very crusty
The sand traps are very crusty. I see some of the traps have new sand being added so it looks like they are working on them. The coarse is real test of golf.
If you are a senior golfer don’t hesitate to use the forward tees. Lloyd
They’ve really let this place go
Course is in rough shape compared to what it once was. Bunkers not raked and filled with weeds, tees seem to not have been rotated (divots everywhere between tees), and greens were destroyed. Oak grove is a great layout, but it’s unfortunately just not in good shape.
Greens and traps need work
Fairways were ok, but greens and traps were rough. This is a great layout that with a little work could make for a very nice round of conditions were better.
Pleasantly Surprising
Pretty unassuming when you pull up to the place and head into the clubhouse. The Pro Shop had the essentials but not much else. The place makes up for it once you step onto the course. The greens had recently been punched but they were coming back in nicely. The holes are beautiful and are very fun to play. If you're thinking about playing this course, come check it out.
