Challenging
Greens were in great shape, some small some big.
Fairways excellent
Second cut fair difficulty
Don’t even try to find your ball in the tall grass
Nice Course But Needs...
Very challenging to where you are actually playing target golf. The course was rock hard so expect big bounces and shot out of play when usually they wouldn’t go OB on other courses. The bunkers are unplayable. The clubhouse needs a huge facelift.
Hidden gem
Awesome course awesome shape this course is great for all golfers. #1 thing i love about this course is there are no houses.
Hit them straight
Country
Course makes you feel that your miles away from everything. Sand traps are not good as they are filled with cheap land fill type sand. Back nine has a few holes with blind shots to fairway which cause slow play. Nice driving range and practice green for putting. I enjoyed this course for my first time and will be back with hopes of real sand. Not a lot of play during the week. The clubhouse bar was very nice. The staff very friendly.
Challenging
Challenging to if you can’t hit it straight you will suffer....great time.. fast greens
Try it out, you will be back!
Course is n great shape and it will test your game . Play smart and you can leave with a good score.
Hidden Gem
Great course. very picturesque. greens are in great shape.
NICE GREENS
A GREAT COURSE THAT WILL SURPRISE YOU AND MAKE YOUR SCORE GO UP
Wet
Play here 4-5 times a year since it opened even though 55 miles from home
Great layout , friendly staff
Course was really wet as are all courses in Chicagoland area as it seems to rain everyday
Course was in good condition. Greens were in great shape and rolled well
Must play course
Need to do something with the 11th hole.
17 good to great holes and then there is the 11th hole-
Good course layoput but terribly maintained.
Let me start this review by saying that I play this course multiple timers a year. The course conditions continue to deteriorate each year. The course layout is magnificent. No two holes are alike and It forces you to use almost every club in your bag. But that's where the good vibes end. The greens are a mess. There was unfilled aeration holes in many of the greens (leftover from the fall aeration) in the spring that did not fill in until June. They are soft and full of ball marks. On the positive side the greens are spacious. The sand traps are literally rock hard with many stones and rocks in the sand. Customer service is a crap shoot. Typically there is one person running the pro shop and the bar. It wasn't that long ago that his was a destination golf course that was well maintained and had the some of the best greens of any course I played. It is a shame to see what this course has become.
Very Nice Course
Played here with two buddies in early November on a Hot Deal. I know the course, but it is usually a little pricey, so it was great to find a good deal.
For the first weekend in November, the course was in great shape. No one was out there so we played relatively quickly.
I loved the location, no houses on the course. The course has a ton of sand but not a lot of water. If you have trouble getting off the tee, you should bring extra balls, because a lot of the tees require you to carry some sort of hazard. I found the back nine less forgiving than the front, but still manageable for a middle of the road golfer.
The carts were nice but did not have windshields or gps. The range was closed but the practice green was open and in nice shape.
Much harder than expected
I was not expecting a lot when going to the course as it is in a small town but man was I wrong. This place is tough! For the most part it was in very good shape as well. You better be ready to bring your game, if you are spraying it off the tee you will being taking penalties.
Well Kept
Course was in great condition and played well. The pace was less than desired though on the last nine holes. A build up of 4 groups began on 10. Not sure if groups went out on 10 our not but the pace should be policed better by the staff.
Greens need work
The greens were in poor condition. Ball marks were everywhere no matter what the par was. Looks like most people don't repair them. Other than the greens, the course was a pleasure to play.
Nice
Course was in good shape, not too crowded. Carts could use GPS as yardage markings weren’t the easiest to find. Nice course
