Oak Grove Golf Course

So much to love here, out in the country feel, great layout with lots of elevation variety. It just needs some major maintenance. The club house, especially bathrooms, needs help! The cart paths have little volcanos popping out of them. I think they've got a grubs issue on some fairways and greens. No windshields or GPS on the carts. The tee shots at 15 & 16! If they don't trim those trees soon it's going to be almost impossible to thread the needle. Golf course competition in these parts is fierce , I get that. At some point you have to make the decision to sell it or invest in it ?!? Hope they chose the latter, it's got major potential.

Really need a ranger. Enjoyed the challenging course except for the 5+ hours to complete the round on a nice Saturday.

For the $30 spent it was OK. A generally ok round for a “park district like course” in the country. When I went there was only 1 person working there covering the shop, bar, concessions. Tee boxes were chopped up, greens had aerated holes. If you have a slice or hook you will lose 100 balls, every hole is surrounded by tall weeds and forest. The layout of the course however was very challenging (in a good way) and fun!

Fun layout with some really nice holes. Bring plenty of balls. Pace of play killed us. No starter and no ranger on the course. We played 5 hour round in carts. In front of us were 4 sets of two golfers who played very slow. This was on a weekday. One of our guys quit after 9.

This is has been a favorite for along time. My issues aren't that major but they do take away from the overall experience. First good size range and there are targets to fire at, but the range balls are horrible. Second the course overall is in good shape, but there is no consistency to the bunkers some have sand some rock and some dirt. As I said though great challenging layout.

Unfortunately conditions at Oak Grove continue to deteriorate. It's a great track but the sand traps aren't in good shape and tee boxes are pretty ripped up. Greens are okay but you have to know which ones are hard as a rock lightning fast and which ones aren't. Grass range, nurse service and a decent but deteriorating clubhouse. Overall I really like Oak Grove but for a least a decade now the course conditions continue to get worse. Pace of play is also an issue.....it there are any turtles out there you're screwed because there's no ranger to move them along. Lot of fun holes to play. Heck I finally birdied Anaconda (11th hole). Recommend......good value but golfers need to take of this place. They don't......

Had to wait 40 minutes to teeoff. Fix this place up, it’s falling apart.

Very nice course. A bit of a challenge but who doesn’t love an opportunity to grow and develop their game. Will definitely be coming here more often!
