South at Hickory Hills Country Club

This aging course needs an upgrade. Drainage is not the best. Cart paths have plenty of potholes which make for an unpleasant riding experience.

A very well-maintained golf course w/rolling fairways and challenging greens.

Greens are decent and fair way is good but every thing else is pretty rough and over grown and uneven

Generally I found the course average to slightly above average to play. Not necessarily worth driving from Chicago to play although they had a lot of openings for a last second afternoon round. Greens were in poor condition and absolutely no rangers around.

Great for all levels, staff is always extremely kind, on and off course!

I haven’t played here in a few years and forgot how challenging all the elevation changes are.

The course is in excellent shape and we had a nice time with no one in front of us or behind us. The course was “all ours” so pace of play was just right.

1st time playing! Truly enjoyed. Love the challenge of the Hills and elevated tee boxes. Greens were in great shape and somewhat fast! I look forward to playing again!

This course has been around a long time, but I have seen a vast improvement of the course conditions over the last 3 or 4 years, especially on the greens. The putting surfaces used to be very, very, slow, and not kept up very well. But now they are in great shape after being redone and are rolling much closer to normal green speeds fir the area. I wouldn't call them fast, but the slopes the greens have at this course will have yiu really thinking about how hard to hit it. Great layout, nit long, about 6000 yards from the tips, but greatly improved over the last few years. If yiu haven't played here in a while, go give it another try. You might be pleasantly surprised.

None of the employees seem to know what’s going on. Asked for a range bucket, people at the front desk said range doesn’t open till 10am. Then proceeded to say they may be open though, so drive the 5 minutes there and check, shocker it was closed. Cart guys said you can get a small bucket at the check in desk which also wasn’t the case. Putting/chipping green is also on the side of a hill; not a single flat point to actually warm up on. Any course with a similar price would be a better choice

The fairways and greens were in good shape. The rough needed a cutting. I use to play this course 25 years ago weekly. The course hasn't changed much. The Golfnow price is a deal for $46. Don't think I would pay $62 for a.weekday or $75 for weekend BUT the Golfnow Hot Deal.was worth it.

They apparently didn't know they agreed to do a shotgun start for an outing, and so they overbooked their tee times. And they didn't figure out that they were overbooked until 36 hours before the tee times. What a mess!

Greens were perfect and fast. You can't drive your cart into the parking lot, so this old man had to carry his clubs a bit and with a bad back, I won't be coming back.

Well manicured courses and best time to play is on Monday.

This course was in bad shape 2-3 years ago, now it’s awesome and they have been working on it a bunch. GPS golf carts and an awesome staff.
