Deerpath Golf Course

Fairway and greens in good. Staff is friendly. Good Driving Range. Practice chipping just off the first hole. Kinda hidden.

I found a good deal online for my tee time and wanted to try the course. I thought given the area it would be nicer. The greens were very slow and felt the course overall could have been maintained better. The layout was good and pace of play was great, feel if they put more work into the course it could be much nicer.

The course has a variety of interesting holes. Played as a single but wasn't held up much by other groups.

Overall the course is very nice. The greens were very slow, kinda made it a little difficult to judge. Nice fairways and play was a nice speed. Would play it again .

I got a deal for $32 riding which is about what the course is worth. Course was in good condition but overall just an average course. Play it if you find a good deal. Don't play if you're spending $50 or more.

played 3-some. there are 2 temporary greens that we were not warned about; both have large tarps covering the greens. fairways aren't bad. pace of play was within 4 hrs. except for the 2 temp. greens, other greens are in good shape.

First off -- It's important to note that this course has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, I could tell driving up to the course that was particularly dry. I understand that water management is a HUGE deal for golf courses but I feel like this was unusually dry for a late May round of golf. This is also considering the amount of rain the area has had.

The only real complaint I have is the condition of the 7th green (and other greens). It was obviously make-shift as a new green is being groomed. That being said, the make-shift green was in AWFUL shape and was literally un-playable. Luckily I got my pricing on this course through an online Tee-Time provider at a discounted price. If I would have payed full price for the condition the course is in, I would have likely said something to the Pro Shop.

I would recommend this course to others but I would call to ask what the condition of the course is first. I'm scheduled to play this course again and hope it's in better shape.

Good course but recovering from hard winter. Grass is thin, rough is light. Recent aerations of greens yet to grow in. Two temporary greens due to winter damage.

I understand the long winter has taken a toll on the golf courses in the area but this course no longer even cares. The rate was raised to 73.00 which is over priced even if it was in great shape. Plenty of golf courses close by that are worth playing.

Nice course, some false greens and work being done as it was very early in the season. Some difficult holes but nothing too crazy, recommend for a foursome, probably slow for a two. We were originally a two and got paired up with the two behind us only to have the twosome behind them riding us the entire round. A little ridiculous.

One of the holes used the fairway in place of the green. The other greens weren't in great shape either. It's normally a good course if you get a decent price. I would check it out later in the season when the weather is better and the grounds crew can get it in better shape.

It was wonderful to get outside and play but the course conditions were not up to par at this time. I am sure with added sunshine and spring rains the course should drastically improve in the near future. If you get a bargain (green fees) it is fine but if you pay full price you will be disappointed. I loved playing, I was so happy to be outside!

Great course, good condition considering the winter we just had.

Four of my buddies and I stepped out for the first time this year and it was well worth it! The course was in great condition for the time of year. There was a little ice damage on a couple of the greens but it seemed they were working and repairing it. Pace of play was fair as we had time to stop and eat after nine holes. One of my personal favorite courses in the area!

CONS: Expensive. Played better courses for less.
Some might want more of a challenge.

Paid $24 thru Golfnow. The course was in mint condition both fairway and greens. Fast green. Fairway and greens were clean from leaves. I couldn't ask for a better day and condition of the course. If time permits will definitely return before it gets too cold.

My husband and I played on a cool fall afternoon. The foliage was gorgeous. It is landscaped with a beautiful combination of old mature trees, prairie grasses, and water hazards. The course was well maintained and the greens were in great shape. Some of the fairways are undulating. The bunkers are pretty shallow allowing for easy exit . We will definitely play Deerpath again.

We have added this course to the weekend rotation this fall; good value, not long at 6200 yds, mature trees, small greens, nice layout, and pretty open the mornings we've played leading to 3 1/2 rounds. A bonus is the burger and beer special at the clubhouse grill.

Played this course with friends on Columbus Day. The course was well-maintained and the staff was friendly. A little expensive for the design and challenge of the course.

I always enjoy playing here with the variety of the level of challenges. The course is always well maintained.
