Fine, fun course for the money
The course is a very good value if you can get a Golfnow price. It is in good condition and the greens are excellent. The only two issues are the sand traps and cart paths. The sand traps need to be edged, as the edges are rounded and grass is growing into the edges of the traps. The cart paths on the front nine were quite rough and need repair or replacement.
Overall, it is a very nice course, with lots of doglegs, sand and a variety of holes.
Great day for golf
Enjoyed playing this course. Pace of play was a little slow as we were a twosome following a foursome. Course was in great shape. Will play this course again if opportunity arises.
Beautiful Day
Loved the course and the scenery. Several improvements have been completed making the loop more enjoyable.
Michael and Jason do a great job in the clubhouse and make you feel at home. I highly recommend this course to anyone and everyone.
Impressed
A premier golf course. It’s a beautiful course, the staff was excellent to work with. I never take pictures on a golf course, but did so this round. (Missed the deer crossing in front of us)
Afterwards you couldn’t ask for a better bar and restaurant. The staff and bartender were great, and so was the food.
Hidden gem
Very good layout. The holes are well laid out. Challenging but No surprises. What a great value.
One of the best
Lake Carroll is one of the best values and courses my group has played this year
Beautiful Venue
Great course, great staff, great greens. It was a great day and venue for golf!
Great golf
Great all around day of golf will play here again beautiful maintained course
this course can get very challenging.
Unfortunately we had some bad weather today and we didn’t really experience how fast the green can be!! The golf course doesn’t play very long but it can be very challenging, You definitely have to bring your A game and be able to shape shots both ways. I’ll definitely come back and play this golf course on a better day. Ps. Also great customer service in the clubhouse and the dining area very welcoming.
It is a beautiful course! The greens were a little hard to figure out! Most of them were slow...but hit and miss...when you would hit the ball more firm...then that green would play fast...go figure! Alot of the ball washers didn't have water in them, and alot of the holes didn't have any water to drink, like they normally do! When we came back to the clubhouse they didn't have anything to eat as far as sandwiches or hotdogs...said it would be 15 to 20 minutes to prepare! No Gatorade...and no candy or energy bars to give you a boost to play the last nine! All in all it's a great place to play golf!
Nice course, too early in the season
This course is out of the way but worth the drive if you are in the area. Nice clubhouse, interesting layout set in rolling hills with woods and long-range vistas. The premises have a country-club feel and appear to be dominated by local members who respect the facilities. The layout is challenging, and I would not recommend this course for less experienced players. The staff treated us very well. The weather was near perfect for April, and the course was fairly empty, even for a weekday. Our only concern would be course conditions. Being so early in the season, the greens were not yet awake, making putts extremely slow. This is no fault of the course keepers given the late arrival of Spring this year. We would definitely play here again.
