Lake Carroll Golf Course

Most Tee boxes are pretty far from prior hole’s green - you won’t want to walk this course. #11 is stupid. It’s narrow and steeply slanted right to left. A perfectly straight drive will roll off the course. Assuming you can keep in on, your 2nd shot will have your ball 8 inches above your feet or a severe downhill lie. No bar/food available at 9:30am on a Sunday. Need to have some muffins or something available in the pro shop.

This course was in excellent condition. Greens held, traps worked up, everything mowed great.

I like this course. It’s well maintained, though the fairways were too long on the front nine. Mowers were out, but rather late. There were four residents/members in front of the two of us that we caught on hole four. They would look back at us but never invited us through. They were very slow and not very good. We hoped they would be done after nine, but no such luck. We skipped hole ten and finished the round, playing 17 holes.

These old stiffs should know better than to hold up a twosome.

Still, it’s a fun course and I would gladly play it again and assume that most all members know proper golf etiquette.

Everything was in great shape. Always enjoy playing here and the restaurant has great food also.

I’ve played here many times during the weekdays and weekends , the course is always well maintained and not crowded at all. The value is certainly there . I have friends that live there and we always take the opportunity to play and enjoy the weather .

We had a great time at Lake Carroll. Got out a little before our tee time on a holiday, which was nice. We were a twosome following foursome but pace of play was good. Foursome ahead of us played two man best ball but played ready golf. Greens were a little brown but not bad. Overall course was in good shape. We’ll come back as we had a great rate for a holiday.

Awesome course, great value. Tons of fun elevated tee shots. Hope to play it again sometime. Locals need to fix their ball marks and the greens were a little slow in the morning, otherwise it was in great condition.
