About
Wolf Hollow Golf Club originally opened in 1928 as Lena Golf Club. The course tumbles across northwest Illinois' gently rolling hills, incorporating quite a few elevation changes into the layout. The golf course has a true risk-reward design that will thoroughly test your shot-making abilities. With proper course management and a bit of luck, there are several birdie opportunities to be had. Measuring in at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, the course manages to give you a few lengthy holes but it will also put your short-game skills to the test. The 16th is one of Wolf Hollow Golf Club's most intimidating holes because this par 4 has trouble everywhere. A creek and tall grasses guard the left of the fairway and the small green requires a nearly perfect approach shot.

Incredible venue
Slow greens because of early morning rain and a very busy course this day because several others were closed. The pace of play was weird. We had to wait on every shot and on several occasions the twosome behind us rode right on top of us as we were hitting and talking nonstop. But, we still played each 9 in 1 hour and 45 minutes which I consider a good pace. As I said it was weird and due to mainly the course design. It's hard to see when any hole is truly clear. All in all the experience was incredible but weird too 😂

We play this Course a couple of times a year and it is always an excellent shape. The staff is very friendly and the price is right

Playing conditions
This is a nice course. However the condition of the greens have deteriorated over the past several years. Hopefully they will get the greens back to their previous level. Now they are nearly unplayable. Sad.

Course in good shape, do'nt know about traps i did'nthit in any of them.
Hot and humid!
It was so hot and humid but well worth the drive oou in the country.
Challenging Cousre!!
Couple holes are truly one of a kind!! A lot of blind drives & hidden greens which makes for a fun experience.
