Big Run Golf Club

I spent 6 hours for a round, some unbelievable players ahead of my team. We called to complain but no one come.

Definitely don’t waste your time. Fairways are patchy, greens are over watered and bunkers are unplayable. Pace of play was awful, had 4-6 groups stacked up on one hole for most of front 9 and all of back 9. Much better courses in the area for same or lower price.

Course is long and hilly. Definitely a good challenge. Course condition could be better but definitely a fun time.

Cart paths are in bad shape.

Roughs need some maintenance. Too many weeds and balls were easily lost because of the weeds

Rough is horrendous. Grass is about 4 inches and unable to locate your ball if it goes in the rough. Cart path and bridges are in terrible condition. One of the wooden bridges had planks lifting up. Course is pretty challenging but would not recommend due to the conditions. Definitely better to spend a couple bucks more and go to other courses in the area.

This course has the potential to be awesome if they would re-invest and fix the conditions of the course. This is a great layout, but the bridges seem unsafe, the dead trees could come down and kill someone soon and some of the tee boxes need work. The cart paths are more bumpy then riding on the course itself

The course is LONG and lots of fun. Always in good condition. It drizzled - so everything was wide open - YES!

Not a bad course. Difficult to find ball at times due to lack of mowing on some holes. No driving range which is a big miss. A little outdated.

I have played this course twice and I think it has a good mix of obstacles - mostly trees and water - and plays long. The course has been around for a long time and you can tell that at one point it was probably a high end course. While it is still in fairly good condition, the tee boxes are uneven, the tee boxes and fairways need to be cut, and there are a lot of dry spots on the course (which is strange because the course is pretty wet). Overall, I only paid $40 for the round because of discounts I had, but if the course is asking you for $75 I do not think that is good value. The course did a good job of spacing groups at the tee box so there was no need to rush or end up sitting around waiting on the group in front of you.

Best part of the course were the greens and tee boxes. They were in great shape. After that, everything else could be improved. Couldn’t really tell where the fairways ended and the rough began. sand traps could use sand and not dirt and rocks. 90+ degree day and no beverage cart on the course on a very busy day and no water fountain or well to fill water bottle up. One water cooler on hole seven that was empty by the time we reached it. Quit after 9 holes because of heat, pace of play. Course could be real nice if the maintenance to fairways and sand traps were improved. Challenging layout, but not really worth the price.
