About
Old Oak Country Club is situated only 20 minutes from Chicago, but the beautifully wooded terrain shaded by mature oaks and hickory trees, makes it feel as though it's much further away. Originally opened in 1926, the golf course is one of the area's oldest and even one of the oldest in the state. It has undergone many renovations over the years but it still retains its classic character. The layout offers plenty of variety with drivable par 4s and lengthy par 5s. The rolling topography provides many of the golf course's challenges, from the rolling fairways and undulating greens to the elevated tees and blind shots. Mature trees tower over the fairways, adding another tricky element to the golf course. Old Oak Country Club is challenging but fair and still quite playable, which is why it has long been a local favorite.

everyone was rude felt uncomfortable in club house hope it wasn’t racist
Pace and push
I was surprised on how many times I almost got hit today by the group behind us! People just apologized over and over and over, seriously??? If they don’t know how to respect your group in front or behind you please learn about golf what is the average pace and how far the group in front of you are so you can hit!!!!!! I mean seriously!!!! Other than that the course conditions was ok!
Wasted Day
In all the years I have played golf and the hundreds of round I have played, this was the longest round ever! 5 hours and 56 minutes. I love playing Old Oak. I have played it many times and will continue to play this course. Guys, please don't allow this to happen again. Don't over book! Thank you.
Love this course
Been playing here for over 40 years. It’s one of my favorites. Holes are very challenging greens are usually quick but not yesterday. It’s a course you just don’t pull the driver out all the time.
With all the rain the course drains out great nice layout holes are mostly different not a long course but nice and challenging. Staff has been very nice
Played this course many times you can tell and see they’re always updating course and trying to keep traps maintained as well as the greens. Wish they’re twilight was sooner but overall really nice course , challenging and greens fast would definitely recommend to anyone
Playing in December
Too many trees makes it challenging for high handicap players. It would have been better it the staff had picked up the leaves from the trees. It is OK for the price paid.
