About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Great Labor Day
Weather was perfect the course was perfect got to play with a young man and his son had a great time. Very friendly staff and the pace was excellent. Will be returning hopefully this year
Nice course
Little tricky front nine, easier back nine. Sand traps really rocky, needs better maintenance. All in all, not a bad deal
Maintenance
The entire course needs overdue cutting of dead trees and tree limbs. Also, clearing out the base of evergreen trees and bushes would help in speeding up play
Course maintenance
Trees and bushes need overdue trimming around the plant and the base. That would speed up trying to find golf balls. Tree limbs are touching the ground. How about raking the traps…..
Marengo Ridge
The fairway is stunning. Course layout is amazing. As a beginner, I always get intimidated at the first hole. Marengo Ridge is very inviting and comforting. This course is a hidden-gem. A must play course.
Sand traps getting better
More actual sand in the traps this visit which was better than the packed dirt-sand misc last time. Greens in great shape, generally fast and true - just a few hops from ball marks. Will return.
Long time customer. It will be hard to go back!!
I have played this course many times each year over the last 20 years or so. It has always been a nice place and a great deal for the money! Yesterday, however, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I could not believe what I was seeing. I have NEVER seen the course in such horrible shape!! From tee to green!!! The bunkers were terrible!! The greens were like shag carpeting and in major disrepair!! And to add insult to injury it was almost a 5 hour round. There was one foursome that tees off around 7:30-7:40 that I have seen many times before and they were holding up the entire course!! I hope they put some effort into managing all this better!! Otherwise it will be very hard to go back!!
