Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club
About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Fabulous Course!
All the Staff are super friendly and Janet, I believe she's part owner is polite, cheerful courteous, customer service is superb!
A challenging course with unbelievable prices
I came to Marengo Ridge expecting a basic course based on the price of the tee time. I was very very wrong. This course is beautiful and challenging on every single hole. You're constantly battling blind dog legs and greens surrounded by sand traps. It's such a fun course to play and every individual on the course is incredibly friendly and respectful. Would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys golf!
Marengo Ridge: Never Disappoints
I play Marengo a couple of times per year. Course is always in great shape and the prices are very affordable.
No rain for a couple of weeks so course was hard and fast. Greens held but fairways rolled out. Bunkers need to be groomed.
Staff at the counter and the bar were friendly and welcoming.
All in all, played in 3.5 hours and had a great time.
Awesome Round at Marengo Ridge
Greens, Fairways in great shape. The folks who run the course are very Golfer Friendly, they treat you like its your own Country Club, what a treat! You will enjoy it here, nice old country course with a lot of fun and challenging holes.
If I could use one word to describe this course, it’d be average.
We played Father’s Day at twilight and paid $30 to walk 18, not bad. The staff was friendly, which is always good. It was in below average condition, I’ve played here a half a dozen times or so and I feel like the previous times I’ve played it it was in much better condition. The bunkers were unplayable, the ground was VERY firm. The greens were about the only thing in decent condition. There is a couple holes that are pretty fun, a few drive-able par 4’s if you are willing to take risks. The par 3’s are pretty good, and the par 5’s are comparably short. Overall, not a bad course for the money. I will continue to play here!
