Steeple Chase Golf Club

Played on a windy day which increased the challenge, especially on the back 9.

Greens were firm and fast but still held good shots.

Course was in great shape. Rough was hard, but fair.

Great GPS on the carts. Very accurate

Drove an hour to this course and was disappointed. I play tons of golf and for the price of this course it didn't match the value. Greens roll but overall maintenance is very sub par all around. No where near a $70 round and won't be returning. Staff was cool on a plus side. Not sure how this course is almost 5 stars.. are there not many courses in the area?

Greens were fast and rolled true.

The course presents the opportunity and need to use all the clubs in your bag. Elevation changes and rolling fairways provide great scoring opportunities.

The course is also very pretty with wetlands sprinkled throughout. The good news is that avoiding the wetlands is not terribly difficult.

The only course item keeping the rating at good is that the bunkers lacked sand.

Off course the bar is very nice with a good selection.

Pro shop has very nice merchandise and the staff both on and off the course are welcoming!

I really enjoyed playing this course the conditions of the course were great. The only issue was the sand traps there’s no sand in the traps.

For as good as the reviews I read I would have expected a much better experience. Greens rolled true, course layout was nice. However, as a single golfer that plays all over and is serious about golf I would not return here. Showed up early for my tee time and the starter made me and another gentleman 15 minutes for the twosome to arrive. He stated they had leagues after and it would mess up the schedule. Well the twosome arrived. One was a female golfer that whiffed at least a dozen times. Sand traps need more sand, cost me three strokes on a par 3. At least at the turn, I jumped on the back 9 alone while they were grabbing beers and dogs. Front nine took over 2.5 hrs and back too approximately an hour. Nothing like shooting a 47 on the front and 39 on the back….

No wind, greens receptive, great shape ! Just over 4 hour round in middle of the day.

Steeple Chase provides a superb golf environment. With gold, blue, Blue/white and more sets of tees, it’s perfect for all golfers.

The greeens are true and the course has excellent maintenance. Virtually no bad spots. It has plenty of character with a wonderful finishing hole.

Every hole is different. Carts are provided with GPS and blind shots are monitored.

The staff is friendly and on course purchases are simple with plenty of selections.

Consistently good. Fabulous greens. Only recommendation is freshen up bunkers. Pace in early morning excellent, later in day not so much. People please...stop with three practice swings then duff the ball. Play the correct color tees. Read your putt while others putt and you'll be ready. Then walk with a purpose off the green. If you don't see anyone ahead of you but people behind you, that should indicate time to pick up the pace!

I love this course, challenging yet scoreable. Greens were lightning and really hard. Lots of fun, would definitely come back.

I expect it to be a little slow on a Sat afternoon, but not a 5 Hr round. There wasn’t a ranger and 1 group held the entire course up. Could’ve been easily addressed by making them skip a hole, and skip another if the held people up again.
