Challenging but fair
Great layout, always enjoy playing here. Wish there was something they could do about all the geese and the little presents they leave behind
Awesome
This is the best course on the southside...worth every penny....Staff is amazing and for a public course it's in amazing shape..
Sanctuary - Enjoyable course
As usual, the course was in good condition. The foursome that I played with moved very well today as the morning golfers had just finished paving the way for us and the afternoon golfers were sparse today. This is an enjoyable course to play, but always some challenges to make you add a few strokes if you aren't accurate around the greens. They maintain the course well, so there are no issues of note and you should enjoy your round.
Horrible greens
Every single green was severely beat up, dozens of divots unrepaired from previous days. Pin locations were clearly in the same place on every green for multiple days based on how badly the areas were around the pin, I could not get a putt to roll on line all day without hitting a pitch mark and bouncing off line. Pace of play was great, finished in under 4 hours.
Love The Sanctuary!
Doug the head superintendent has the course rocking! All the staff are very friendly. We're proud to consider this course our "home" course. I'm still waiting for an eagle.....challenging.
Sanctuary in New Lenox, IL
Very tight course with a nice layout! Course was in good shape and was a challenge if you can't hit a straight ball off the tee!
More bang for your buck.
This course is very challenging, and you have to pick your shots carefully. Plus, Wednesday is $1 beers(Pabst or Michelob Ultra), and greens fees are only $30. Great value.
Great course but....
This course is amazing. The Layout is perfect. This course will punish you and reward you. The only thing that dampened my round was I lost my favorite $250 RayBand Sunglasses. The course played so well, it didn't hurt so bad. Play the course if you get a chance, it doesn't disappoint.
Good golf round
All was well, a little slow , people need to fix their divots.
Good Shape
Greens are always nice
Golfers there fix their ball marks consistently
Interesting layout
Worth playing
Particularly like the par 4 hole 14
Always gives me trouble
Back Tees Mandatory for Low to Medium Handicappers
The course was basically in good shape but they need to provide a lesson to their patrons on how to fix ball marks on greens, they were plentiful. Greens rolled nicely but most were relatively flat, not a lot of undulation with Sunday pin placements. Black (back) tees are mandatory for low to mid handicappers with most of the extra yardage (6,900) coming on par 5's and a couple of longer par 4's (only 3 over 400 yards from back tees). #9 is an amazing hole from back tees as your drive has to thread a narrow opening about 75 yards off tee and a cut is necessary to find fairway.
