Sanctuary Golf Club

One of my favorite courses in the area. The course is in great condition. Course has awesome deals, as low as $12. Pace of play is good, regardless of the day.

I have been going to this course for 3 years now, and I will continue going as much as possible. A little expensive, but worth the experience. Plenty of ponds and sand traps with the occasional wooded area. It is a well kept course with a nice layout. I am a beginner still, but through the years I am losing less and less balls to this course each time I play!

Busy day for the first nice day of 2018. Course was a little crowded but pace of play was around 4 1/2 for a twosome. Greens were long and slow. Fairways we're in good shape. Green fee with cart was $20 after 2pm. PBR were $1 each.

There usually is a lot of tall grass come mid season that wasn't there, so the course was very open right now. Meaning that balls that come July that would be lost, you could still find today.

The Sanctuary Golf Club is an excellent course for cold weather golf in Illinois. The course is extremely well maintained and despite the cold 38 degree day the grounds crew was out cutting grass and blowing the leaves off the greens. The fairways were in great shape and all the bunkers were raked and soft including a few with standing water from a week of recent rain.

No crowds due to the cold weather so we played at our own pace of about 3 1/2 hours.

Carts do not have GPS so they suggest you download a free App on your smart phone. The carts do have USB ports so you can keep your phone charged up if you bring your own charging cord.

Nice layout and great condition. Bunkers were wet or had standing water due to heavy rain 2 weeks ago. A couple of tough holes but most are manageable playing from blue tees. Plenty of sand traps and water hazards on several holes. One of the nicer course in SW suburbs. Good value.

the greens and fairways were in very good condition. The sand traps were horrible as most of them all year were Could use some sand/seed bottles of the carts and tee boxes to help with the divots. All in all it's a decent course.

Sanctuary and I have a, shall we say, cantankerous relationship. It’s beautiful. Well kept. Decent cost. But it will mess with your mind and make you want to quit golf right now. Well placed water and evil rough will steal your balls. Right when you think you are doing good and have a good round going, you are going to be surprised. I am not kidding the last time I played here I almost quit golf. This course is great, challenging, beautiful, and evil. I recommend it.

Excellent course conditions to match the weather. course in great shape and staff always very friendly. You can't go wrong with The Sanctuary. Across The Creek 14 and 15 I refer to as Will County's Amen Corner ... originally an Indian Burial Ground.
