Great course close to home, well maintained.
I golf here often. I like that it's close to home and is well maintained. Service is friendly and the facilities are top notch. The course is just hard enough to give the average golfer a good challenge.
Excellent course, very challaging
Friendly Staff. Great service at the turn. Homemade sandwiches with two dollar drafts.
Well maintained .Challenging.
Been playing for a while, and feel like playing again and again.Excellant range .
Challenging layout, friendly staff
Links type course completely isolated from any homes or businesses. Very natural, rural feel as woods surround and weave through the edges of the course. Challenging layout. Well placed fairway bunkers and doglegs. Not much water comes into play but the "heather" eats golf balls. Well maintained greens and fairways. Definitely a thinking person's course as opposed to rip-it and get-it. Friendly staff and a well stocked pro-shop. Definitely on my list. One complaint. Some heavy rain before we came out and many of the fairway traps were not pumped out.
Good place to play.
Driving in the entrance I couldn't believe the great looking clubhouse, it must be new. The course has narrow and winding fairways. It will test golfers at any level of play.
interesting course
great value, different kind of course, very good to play, very different from other courses
Great golf course!
This golf course was great. It was very playable and fair! Great gun for all skill levels!
Straight or nothing
Must keep your drives on the fairway deep trouble just off the fringe on most holes. Greens in great shape
The course was great, I wish the GPS in the golf carts were accurate.

The course was in great shape, food was bad and one of the rangers was a jerk...
RANGER DANGER
We had a bad experience with the ranger. We played the first nine holes in 2 hours and we kept up with the group in front of us. The group behind us was consistently one complete hole behind us. We rarely saw them. After the 9th hole we stopped for a hot dog and a brat. It took about 10 minutes to get the food at the clubhouse – it was room temperature at best. The group behind us didn’t stop for food so they started to close the gap between us. As we were walking off the 10th green a ranger drove up and said we were one hole behind and that we need to speed up. We quickly put one hole between our group and the group behind us – but did not catch the group in front of us. As we pulled up to the 14th hole we noticed the group in front of us was putting out on the 15th hole – so we were two holes behind. The group behind us was still a full hole behind. The ranger pulled up and started screaming at us saying that we were two holes behind and if we didn’t pick up the pace we would need to skip a hole. We pointed out that we weren’t holding up anybody and that he should talk to the group behind us since they were a full hole behind us. He left and we never saw him for the rest of the round. He may have determined that they were the reason for the slow play. Maybe the cause for the slow play should have been determined before screaming at us. Also the ranger did not come over to apologize or even correct the record. As we were teeing off on the 18th hole, the group in front of us was putting out and the group behind us was still on the 16th hole. We finished our round in 4 hours and ten minutes. Needless to say the outburst by the ranger put a damper on the day and our game. I play this course about 6 times a year and have always had a pleasant experience. After this experience with the ranger I’m not sure that I will return.
Links style which I like and a bit challenging
Course is nicely maintained and was well supervised by starter and rangers which kept the pace of play on track. Greens had some nice undulations and made it more interesting for intermediate players like me. I would definitely like to play this course again.
Good time had
The course was in good shape, really liked the layout. I would definitely play again.
Hit 'em straight
Better find the fairway here or you're in trouble. If you do get into one of their "cabbage patches", take an unplayable cause you can't get out in one shot. Course was in great shape despite the lack of rain. Greens were rolling fine and bunkers actually had sand in them.
Well maintained....Great Staff
Greens were perfect and the best looking ones I have seen all summer with this drought. Staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. I will be going again even if I do have to pay full price.
Challenging
Enjoyed playing. Looks wide open but looks are deceiving! Greens rolled true. Please tell me why the green at 14 rolls so much left to right when there's hardle any pitch or break!
Great municipal course
Links style. Few trees, but lots of tall grass a short distance from fairways. A fair number of water hazards, especially on the back nine. If you're hitting your drives all over, you will lose a number of golf balls and rack up a big score in a hurry.. Tees and fairways in great shape. I played it the morning after an inch of rain, so the greens were probably running a fair amount slower than their norm, but nothing offensive. I went off early so we were pretty much wide open, but I could see how the pace could slow down significantly with people searching for balls in the tall grass. Overall, a solid value.
Nice Course
Narrow fairways, a lot of bunkers and grass, bring your A game!!! Play was a little slow, but for a Saturday, probably not to off pace. Overall, a very good day on a challenging course!
bad shape, slow play
Was surprised to see tee times available and at a lower price ($35) than usual so I went for it. Was barely worth it.
Pace was ridiculously slow, greens were terrible. First time I've ever seen a putt jump straight up into the air.
slow slow slow
5 1/2 hour round on Sunday. Too many people playing from the tips and they shouldnt be. Course does nothing to fix this and admits they wont fix it. No rangers on course whatsoever. Would be an enjoyable round, but the pace is ridiculously slow.
Fun links course
Course was in good condition. Greens could have been better, but you can't expect perfection from a parks course. Challenging and fun links course.
