Always a pleasure playing my home course,, best nine hole golf course in the State.
A Lovely 9-hole Course
I had heard about Tam O' Shanter for awhile before finally getting a chance to play there. The staff was coing to my car as I parked, and efficiently guide The course was in immaculate condition on a beautiful May morning. It has a couple of tricky holes, but nothing too daunting. The issues I had were with my game, not the course itself. It's a lovely place to play nine. BTW, I did not use the off-course amenities, so people who rate the courses should be able to use an N/A for that category.
Perfect for a Friday morning.
It was a nice experience - hard to lose the ball with the current layout. My only complaint is the geese, but that’s at every course in the Midwest so…
Nice course rude staff
I booked a hot tee to play tam it included a cart but when I arrived they said it would be 10 dollars more for cart . I should her the golf now booking that states “cart included. She still would not honor the booking.. I asked to speak to the manager she said he was not there I asked her to call him she refused. Another couple came in with the same golf now booking and after we both argued with her for 10 more minutes she finally took a picture of our booking and gave us a cart. It been awhile since a have received such poor customer service I will never go here again
Great course with interesting history
Love this course. Very narrow, so forces you to shoot straight. The course joke is you’ll probably be on the fairway, it just might not be yours. Course played well, as did I. Staff is amazing and one of the best clubhouses around! Playing again Sunday!!

Best nine hold course in Illinois, I am so lucky to live within walking distance to this course, friendly staff well kept for the amount of daily play and a great restaurant /bar with friendly staff.
Speedskating
We have been playing here for years and always enjoyed the course especially the 19th hole at Howard Street Inn to recap our play for the day.
Great 9 Hole Course
Was in great shape for late fall and they have done an amazing job clearing leaves from the course. The place was busy (as should be expected on a 70 degree november day) but pace moved well. Friendly staff. Was sorry I hadn't discovered the course until late in the season, will be back in the spring.
