Relaxing course
Right now the greens are playing soft and slow, which is a little forgiving. I've played this course a number of times, around the middle of May the greens drastically speed up. I cannot really say anything bad about this course, it's an all around good experience. The history of the course is another interesting facet, but I'll let you check it out yourselves.
Beautiful Course!
Senica's Deer Park Golf Club is a beautifully laid out course in excellent condition. From challenging par 3's to big sitter Par 5's and everything in between. I would recommend this course to anyone want to enjoy a day with nature. Half of the course is cut into the woods across ravines while the other half is more forgiving while still filled with mature trees, water hazards and sand trap! It'll be a day you wont regret and will never forget!
Great shape
Good golf course well maintained friendly staff.
Beautiful Place!
What a beautiful place! This is an old traditional course that lays out logically and very beautiful.
Course was great
Played early on a Tuesday so no crowds. Liked that they had free range balls. Didn't eat just played golf. Staff was very friendly and course was in excellent condition. Will return again.
Enjoyable course to play
Just a well laid out course, peaceful, relaxing with just the right amount of challenges.
Avoid Stopping at the Turn
It was well worth the 50 miles to play the course. Great price, great conditions and very friendly & helpful staff. The only problem was at the turn we stopped to grab a hot dog to go and took over 20 minutes to get it. There were 12 people in the bar and the person said everyone came in at once. Not true but it left her with a good excuse. The bunkers are tough, their filled with dirt not sand.
great conditions
tee boxes, fairways, and greens are superb. Loved the course, only a few oddities. first, no water on course and no bed cart. second, could not eat after golf. They stop serving food at 4:00 !?!?
Deer park
Course was beautiful
Was well maintained
Only thing i did not like was the sand traps. They need to put samd in them they were in rough shape
Beautiful course
First time playing this course. Great looking and playing course. Some very long holes but extremely challenging. Will play again!
excellent condition
my friend and I really enjoyed this golf course nice practice facility free!! range balls a beautiful challenging layout in prestine condition and an awesome staff nine hole replay with cart for 10 dollars definitely will repeat if it was closer to my home I would become a member.
Great course
Great time and excellent conditions, staff was excellent, crew had cleaned the greens of leaves and kept them in good shape. Picturesque area for the time of the season. Would recommend to other golfers. Did not use the Resturant or bar this time, but have in the past, would recommend for others. Would return again.
Enjoyable course
Course was in good condition with a nice mix of tighter holes and longer open holes. Greens were very fast, but smooth and rolled true. A playable course that you can score if playing well. Very friendly staff. Overall very good value and worth playing.
Friendly staff
Course in great shape staff was exceptional.ly nice would definitely play again and take some friends
Beautiful course

One of the Illinois Valley's Finest
Deer Park CC continues to be one of the Illinois Valley's finest golf courses. Course was in excellent condition, is always well-maintained and played right at 4 hours. Course is usually slow in the am as this membership typically doesn't tee off at the crack of dawn. Highly recommend!
Best kept secret in North central Illinois
I've played this course previously as a guest, and twice more through GolfNow.com's Hot Deals. It's a private club in a small town with an aging membership, and struggling a bit. Don't let that scare you, however. There's no corner -cutting going on here. The course is in great shape and can be challenging if accuracy is a problem for you, like it is with me. The staff is outstanding, as befits a private club, and if you buy one of the Hot Deals, you can be assured that you'll feel like your group is the only one on the course. A 3 hour round is not out of the question for an average handicap foursome. I live about 40 minutes away and was tempted to join the club, but the problem is that the members are so friendly and the bar and restaurant so good, I'm afraid that a DUI would be in my future if i did. Do yourself a favor and play Deer Park CC via GolfNow.com. It's one of the oldest courses in Illinois, and deserves to survive this tough economic climate.
obviously I meant bev cart
