Enjoyed day
Although this was our first time playing a course where we weren’t a member and using our own cart, we felt relatively safe. We weren’t near any other guests. They were sanitizing the carts. We enjoyed our round and will return again. Course was in great shape.
Fun/Challenging Course
Silver Ridge is one of our favorite courses in Northwest Illinois. 18 fun and challenging holes wind through a beautiful natural setting including hills and creeks accented with charming wooden bridges. Not our home course but we try to play there 2 to 3 times a year
Great people, well kept
We went to this course for a golf outing. The manager was very accommodating and everything was ready for us when we got there. He even came around and checked with us when we were golfing to make sure everything was going well. The course is somewhat challenging for this area and a beginner like me. All in all a great experience!
The Ridge
We play this course at least 10 times a year. It is a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees, subdivision on only a few hole and it is at a distance. Lots of challenging holes with woods in play on about 6 holes. The only downside is the sand traps which all need a good load of sand. The greens are not fast but in good condition. Take a few balls you're not too fond of. Lots of wildlife and great fall colors.
I like it
Nice track. Sand traps need work. Nice shape. Greens a little slow but not bad. You need to know where you are going and hit your target.
Fun Track/ Worth the Drive
Silver Ridge has a little of everything. It has a wonderful layout with a great mix of holes. The greens are on the slow side and I never got used to it but that’s on me. The traps could use some sand. They are dirt for the most part which is true of most courses around here. The par threes are fun and there’s elevation changes. I live 1.5 hours from this course and it’s worth the drive so I will surely play iit again. BTW: The pro shop staff made us feel very welcome.
Awesome experience
This was our first experience at this golf course. A friend of ours had told us about how beautiful this course was so we decided to give it a try. Would absolutely play this course again.
Nice course
We haven’t played this course in many years and decided try it again. Got a good deal on hot deals. We played on a Monday and the course was not very busy. Enjoyed our round and found the course was in good shape. Rough was not to long and greens were in great shape although they were slow.. Enjoyed our round and will play it again.
Great course
Taking into consideration with all the rain we have had, the course is in great shape. The greens are absolutely perfect. Challenging course with beautiful scenery. And, of course, there is always Heavenly 11, which is one of my favorite holes in the area. The course definitely challenges your game but is forgiving enough to where you don’t get hopelessly frustrated. One if the nicer courses around and the staff is awesome.
Not Golfnow Friendly
I was told “ I make no revenue from this “. So you will have to wait , even though the #1 Tee is clear until a three sum comes .
I won’t go back again !
Nice course
Great shape for this time of year. Only issue was how hard the greens were, couldn’t hold anything on approach shots.
Best course in the area
I have been playing this course for the last 3 years almost every day. The new golf pro Shane Stuart is fantastic and treats every golfer of skill level the same. The grounds crew keep the course looking fantastic all year round even tho they deal with flooding every year.
Entitled members
Nice local course with great views. Can't beat playing for 20 bucks during the week. If you come at the wrong time and get stuck behind a certain group of members (likely in a 5 some or more) be prepared to wait on every shot as they refuse to let anybody play through even a single. All in all wonderful challenge that can be a ball eater if you aren't straight off the tee.
