Challenging Course extremely bad cart paths
The Course has some wonderful challenging fairways. Some so narrow you might have to tee off with your favorite iron just to keep it in play. But also some nice wide ones mixed in to give one a confidence lift for not hitting perfectly straight! But the cart paths were extremely bumpy. Pot holes everwhere. This course is beeter played by walking this will save on your kidney punches at every turn. Also the pace of play was quite pushy. not fun when golfers can't back off and be patient. Other than that it is a challenging and beautiful course set in the hills and woods. Actually saw a Mama deer with her two babies. Almost hit them with my tee off. She sniffed it and moved on. LOL! I quaint moment!
Much Better
Staff is much better since Brian arrived, love playing there now !!!!
Steamy day on a great course
Muggy as bleep, but the course was humming. The pace was a tad slow, but not too bad. Course was in great shape, and love playing there. Must do Heavenly 11, what a blast.
Favorite Course
Have been playing this course for over 30 years and it is awesome. It’s in better shape now than ever before.

Great course, friendly staff , good condition except the cart paths and bridges are very Bad .
Great golf course
Been playing SR course a few times yearly since mid ‘80s and it’s in the best shape it’s ever been. Always a good challenge and nice layout. One of our favorites in the area. We have held golf play days there a number of times as well. Definitely highly recommended.
Love this course !
Always love playing here ! I like the fact you have to drive a distance to the next hole. It is just a great setting with large trees. Don't forget to play Heaven 11 it puts you way up there for a very picturesque hole ! Hope the weather holds out so I can go back again this year !
Nice Course
Nice course with interesting holes. Mostly wooded and pretty. Greens and fairways and tees good. Some other areas marginal. NOTE: it is not a USGA member course if you track your handicap.
