Greens unplayable
We love to drive an hour to a nice course and get there and realize that half the holes are completely unplayable. The other half was not great, but in totally get that every course needs irrigation. The back nine had over an inch on the greens, couldn't even play it. Went to the pro shop and they told us we should have read the Facebook page. I said, I didn't, but even if I knew it was being irrigated, I never would have thought it was unplayable. And the proshop manager was not nice about it at all. Very bad customer service.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course, awesome staff and very friendly. The management team is very nice as well.
Easy Saturday outing
Forgot how difficult the course was. had a great round. greens very very very hard and fast.

A place to check whether your drive is ok, whether you are looking over your puts, and can you carry the hazards.
Beautiful Course
Tough course for an intermediate player. Narrow fairways and challenging slope on greens. But, beautiful Course, and lots of fun.
Fast greens, heavily wooded, great condition
Built on the Illinois River bluff in Pekin, Illinois, the course is heavily wooded with deep ravines and picturesque vistas. What surprised me the most was how well manicured the entire course was. The fairways showed nary a blemish, the greens ran fast and true (one green had a shallow cut across the entire surface that deflected a putt that still went in), and, in spite of the season, very few leaves affected our play. Make sure you review the layout. There are a couple of blind approaches and one that can tempt you to aim far afield!
