Fantastic layout
Course has a very fun and challenging layout. I can’t wait to play it again. Greens and fairways were all in great shape. 10/10 Rating!!!!!
Not a course for a beginner
Enjoyed playing the course but for a senior it was a tough layout. A lot of hills. They do not have a senior tee as you have to play at 6308 or the ladies at 5301. Several long par 4s over and close to 400 yards made it a tough layout for the over 70 set. Very nice greens but with any public course a lot of people do not repair their ball marks. A stretch of holes on the front were very tight with dog legs and a lot of trees. It was very warm the day we played and water in the course was not placed in obvious locations but close to several different holes. The sand was more like brick sand as opposed to what I am use to playing in the Carolinas. A lot of hills so this is not a walking course for the faint hearted. Very liberal on cart accessing the green areas so people with limited walking ability are covered. I will pay it again and this is a Muni course so the price is reasonable.
Great course
This is a very nice course, fair and challenging. Staff is very attentive, and adds to the pleasure of this facility. I’m an otr driver, and play a lot of courses. This has become one of my favorites. The course was in great condition, and the greens rolled true. If you ever get the chance, check this one out...
Great Course
Everything was wonderful here. Fairways, greens, staff. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Tough course, only my second round of the year. So the course kicked my butt. I shall return, to take revenge.
Excellent course in great shape!
Wonderful experience. Will play here again. Quick true greens and challenging layout. A++
Outing
Should have known when I pulled up to course lot was full. There was a outing . Just can't figure why courses don't let daily play. The slowest round in history. Really not fair 3.75 hrs for 9 holes. Oh well played the front again to beat crowd. 1.75 hrs. But the course was awesome loved all of it. Hit the ball well but stay below the hole very fast. Hooked up with some good guys.
A Tough course
Great challenging course at a great value. Fairway was in great shape and the greens were extremely fast. I did not realize how tough greens can be at this course when the green were as fast as today. If you don't have your A game, you will lose lots of balls and score will balloon to your worst score of the year. I did not do well but really enjoyed the course.
Lick Creek play
Great course giving a player all the challenges of hitting (slopes, hills up/down, water hazards), putting challenges, tee variations. Planning was very good. My partner states a "PGA course" and well worth a pro tour course.
Very Fun Course to Play
I very much enjoyed my round at this course. The layout had both easy and challenging holes. The greens and fairways were in good condition. And the pace was fantastic - finished my round in 3 hours.
Beautiful course
I've only played this course a few times but it has been very well maintained each time I've been there. The layout is setup very well. There is a lot of challenge as the fairways are tight and in many cases surrounded by woods or bordered by water. The staff is always friendly. At full price it's a bit expensive but well worth the money. My group and I look forward to playing it a few times each season.
Beautiful Course!
Beautiful course in excellent shape for early spring in Central Illinois. Weather was poor (cold and windy), but we still had fun. Greens are faster than other courses, but ran true and were in great shape! I will gladly play this course again and recommend it to others!
Tougher Course in Area
The course was in very good condition for this time of year. Not many people were playing. Played the senior tees and still tough. The staff could use some training. While not impolite, they are abrupt. The were not that busy so that is not an excuse. Kind of get the feeling that people who use GolfNow are not held in high esteem.
Great round of golf
The course was challenging, but fair....in great condition for early spring. We enjoyed our round and would play there again!
Fun with friends and golf.
The weather was fantastic and the facility was clean and orderly. Employees are friendly and professional. They offer a breakfast menu that was smelling fantastic and they offer a phone number on hole eight to order any food items to be ready at the turn. The course was challenging and can be a ball eater if not careful. Holes are marked well.
