Deerfield Golf Club

Very nice course from the clubhouse all the way to hole 18. Greens were phenomenal, fairways were clean, and sands were raked and ready to go. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who enjoys the game of golf or even a ride along.

The staff and golfers were all nice, quick and made you welcomed.

played fast for the first 9 and made the turn to find 5 groups on 10. Not great having a 30+ minute wait at the turn and multiple groups on every tee off the back. We should have already been finished but it Stormed when we were on 14 so we couldn't even finish all due to the delays.

We have been playing at Deerfield for many years. Good track.

So much for corona virus protocols. Find out upon arriving to the course that you have to pay extra to ride solo. Waited in line an exorbitant amount of time to pay the extra fee while the two men behind me were pulled out of line and served ahead of me. Very tone deaf response to equality of service. Even though I like the course, I won’t be going back anytime soon.

I grew up playing here so am very familiar with the course, but now play it only a couple of times a year. I have to commend the grounds crew, as even with all the recent rain, and especially the large amount of daily play, the course was in great shape today, WAY above typical muni course conditions. Bravo !

But ... the pace of play at Deerfield has traditionally been on the slow side, and today was world-record awful. Once you checked in at the 1st tee, that was it for seeing a ranger, while I had to deal with crap like parents letting their 5-6 year old kid try to hit balls once they got to the furthest holes from the clubhouse on the front nine; 2 young guys trying to teach their girlfriends how to play on the next hole (hey dummies, take ‘em to Top Golf and make a date of it ), and a solid stack up on the back 9 of 3 foursomes, all slower than molasses and going nowhere fast. Unbelievable. Unleash the rangers off the 1st tee and make them move the cattle along !
