Great course
Best public course in the northwest suburbs. Great layout and it is always in great condition. I’ve been playing here for years and they’ve taken out some bunkers and tree and made a little easier. Not sure why.
Incompetence
Paired up with beginners and told to pick up on 9th hole. Told by ranger he was ordered to by Myles. We are frequent customers and this was stupid unnecessary and unacceptable. Myles no problem with slow play in the future as we will be playing elsewhere. Nice work Myles no more slow play.
Unexpected charge
Even though illinois mandates single carts if not riding with household members, they add on $5 per person if you ride alone.
Nice course, clueless marshal
played as twosome. Finished front 9. About to get on hole 10. A foursome comes out of 18 and cuts in front of us. Ok no big deal. We'll pass them, which they let us.
Some oldass marshal comes along, accusing us as if we didn't pay. Promptly explain to the marshal that we payed.
Then he tells us that we shouldn't have pass the group behind us and says we gotta follow the rules. Uhhh, we didn't break any rules u idiot.
Then the old guy stalks us until we get to 13 and says we should play each hole, which we have been doing.
Nice course, joke of a marshal that does zero crowd control (not to mention there was a five some playing on the course)
Deerfield
Course was great fun. The day started out windy and wet, but by the 4th hole it was hot, humid, and cloudy. The course was fair and long. We had a great time, with a nice pairing of a father-in-law with son-in-law.
Last minute Sunday round
I played here three years ago and the course is the same. It beat me up back then but not today.
There is a lot of water on the course and it rewards shot control. Some of the fairways are narrow and are better played with an iron or wood off the tee. I didn't pull out my driver until the par 4's got around 400 yards.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The $10 bucket of 50 balls on the range was a little pricy and there is no other option. All in all, a good day on a nice course.
Great day of golfing!
I had a great day of golfing. The weather and course were very good. Not rushed and able to play at our own moderate pace.
