About
Odyssey Country Club is a challenging layout that was designed by Harry Bower and two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange. Strange won in 1988 and 1989, putting him in the company of only six others in the century-long history of the U.S. Open. His influence is apparent in all the strategic elements of the golf course as well as the risk-reward options. This demanding layout is not exactly beginner friendly. Staying on the fairways is crucial or your ball will be met with deep rough. Water is also a prominent presence on the golf course. Twelve holes either feature a water hazards or play along the water's edge. Odyssey Country Club's 16th hole is memorable for its tricky island green, which naturally draws comparisons to the famous 17th at TPC Sawgrass.

Never Again
This place has fallen off the rails. The quality of the course continues to deteriorate at an exponential pace. It’s almost like they don’t have a grounds crew.
Unfortunately, that’s not even the worst part. The pace of play has to be amongst the slowest around.
Great course, terrible pace of play
Very nice course and layout. Plenty of water and bunker hazards. Course in nice shape and is one of the better courses in the area. Drawbacks that can/should be worked on: Pace of play - 5.5 hours to play 18. Ranger driving around but did nothing from what I noticed. Called in and was put on hold twice; never picked up again. No bartender at clubhouse at turn. Had to find someone. No beverage cart on course (2 pm on a Saturday). Had to wait to just before tee time to get a cart. All issues seem to be with staff or managing the facility. But the golf course is great if you have the time!

Course in outstanding condition in 2021
I routinely play this course every year. In 2021 this is the best condition the course has been in the past few years. The greens were manicured perfectly. The rough was cut nicely and made play easier and avoided lost balls. The fairways were in terrific condition as well. Thanks for preparing the course for all of the golfers to enjoy playing here.

Way toooo ssslllooowww!
Nice and friendly staff, real good layout, and good conditions. Compliments stop there.
No ranger which allowed the foursome in front of us to slow down the entire course. A 5 hour round is not fun. They stood around talking on the tees, in the fairways, and on the greens. They also walked through green side bunkers if that was the easiest path to their cart. These were grown ups oblivious to pace and golf etiquette.
It is too bad that I won’t play this nice golf course again.

Nice course
The people working there were really nice. Fairways in great condition. Greens were in good condition but people need to fix there divots. Played white tees front nine played a lot shorter than back nine. Not a big hitter so back nine a lot of holes took three shots to get to green. Enjoyed the course on a beautiful day.

Low Key and Comfortable

No course supervision, Parts of the course need Maintenance
Overall the course is not well maintained. The divots in the tee boxes haven’t been repaired all year, there hasn’t even been an attempt to fix them. The sand/seed boxes at the tee boxes are empty. There is clover everywhere. The tee boxes, fairways, and rough. Since the clover is flowering and is white, if you hit a ball in the rough, you’ll never find it. The rough hasn’t been cut in a week. There is a lot of inconsistency in rough height. Granted it has been unusually hot and exceptionally dry lately. The course is watered well however. The greens are actually in very nice condition, but they need to be rolled badly. There is no course ranger making sure pace of play is moving as expected, the ranger finally showed up at the back 9 when the course started to get busy on a Wednesday twilight. There was a group of 5 playing in front of us. At one point it turned to a group of 7. The group was more interested in standing at the tee box and conversating instead of golfing. Overall I probably won’t play here anytime soon. The course needs work and it’s a free for all out on the course if it’s even slightly busy.

Excellent Condition
I’ve played Odyssey many times before. The course was in excellent condition and the greens well maintained. They were also very consistent and fast. I would recommend this course to others interested in playing a course with a few long challenging Par 5’s.

Nice staff but super slow play
Enjoyed the course but they really need a ranger out on the course pushing people. Took too long for a round of golf

few player repair the ball marks, I repaired as much as I can without delay the pace.
A very good base to maintain at high quality grass is valuable. one of the sand box missing scoop.
