on the fringe
Would play here again, but it wouldn't be my first option. Paid $25 thru golf now, and that's the max I would pay.
Nice layout
Good pace on a Thursday afternoon. We will be back again.
Course is great
The only negative thing I have is the sand traps were junk due to the rain
deer creek review
For this early in the year the course is in good shape
First Round of the Year
After all the snow, I expected a cold wintery mess on the course. I found that Deer Creek drained very well and had no standing water or any patch of ice out there. Greens were very sticky, which made for very slow putts. Pace of play that day was terrible, but that was only that day. It has been better every time I go back. Clubhouse is not fancy and a little rundown, but for the price, this is a good/fair course.
Good course for the price
With it being the first nice day of the year and all of the snow just melted, this was a fun round. The greens were rolling very slow. That was the worst part about it. Most of the holes were pretty straight forward. This course is very forgiving, not a lot of hazards. There were a few holes that actually did test your skills, where if you didn't hit the fairway you had to lay it up. I will definitely play this course again when the warmer weather has been around for a while. All in all, I can't complain for $15 to walk 18!
Great course to play good features
I always enjoy playing this course. It's a great course to play at a good price. It's much better than some of the more expensive courses and very well maintain. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. The service has been great.
When you get good service at any course you don't mine going back again!! Keep up the good work Deer Creek....
Course was in good shape and staff friendly
Nice course. Fairways cut and greens were fast. I would go back again.
Great course Great Value
I've played this course many times and what I like about Deer Creek is that it is pretty well maintained for a public course. They are open year round and unlike many golf courses that penalized the weekend golfer with high rates. You can always find a reasonable rate at Deer Creek. Fairly open course and forgiving. Sand traps were in great shape to give good results. Front nine went fast but back nine extremely slow, so skipped three holes to pick up after the 18th.
Ubfriendly place
The staff was not very friendly nor were they very accmodating. I have played this course several times this season and each time the staff has not been very friendly or accomodating.
Although I enjoy the course, I don't enjoy communicating/interacting with the staff. For that reason, I will remove Deer Creek from my list of places to play.
The definition of value
Value usually combines price and quality. Deer Creek epitomizes value. Reasonable prices for a quality course which for the most part is well kept. Only problem was the sand traps. Many not really playable due to mud problems. Nothing a few tons of sand couldn't cure. Staff was especially friendly and went out of its way to accommodate us.
Great Course
Challenging green with the sand traps, But very fun course.
Challenging course
In general the course is nice but they need to take better care of their bunkers . I have played here a few times and the bunkers are always in poor condition .
NICE COURSE
Hadn't played here in a few years and glad I went back. Pace on front was slow due to outing but picked up on the back. Not a real tough course, but still a bit challenging. Conditions very nice. Be back soon.
Great course for the money
Great price for a week day. Course was in good shape & was a fun day. I will be playing this course again.
Very nice
Very accommodating and friendly staff makes this course a wonderful experience. Excellent value and always a great time.
Deer Creek Review
Goof for the money.
Overall, the course condition is alright.
Deer Creek
My son and I had an enjoyable round of golf at this course. The facility was in good condition and staffed with friendly people. The course was in good condition. My only complaint was some of the traps were hard and in need of more sand. Overall, a challenging layout and a good value.
Course Good Management Needs Improvement
The course was decent however the management (Ken McCormick) needs improvement. I found a great offer through GolfNow for $20. Deer Creek wanted $29. I had a tee time for 12:07p.m., and arrived at the golf course at 11:45a.m. I attempted to check in and the person behind the desk told me since I book my tee time online, I had to wait for 12:00p.m. to check in and get a cart. I asked him was he kidding and he advised me No! He said he just work here and I read in between the lines. That put me in an indifferent mood and it affected my golf game. Golf is mental. Management - don't be mad at the golfer who found a better deal online than what you are asking at the golf course. If you don't like it then don't participate!
well maintained
course was in great shape even though we have had very little rain the only thing that needs to be done is to power rake the traps every couple of days. the bartender is out of this world in case you need another reason to visit this course.
I don't believe you could have had a problem with the staff at Deer Creek. Ken, the head professional and manager, is a very friendly, helpful person. And, the starter, John, is easy to talk to and friendly. Overall, all of the people at this course are great. Sorry you feel that way about your experience at Deer Creek. I play there every weekend, and it's because of the people who run the place, and the course layout.
