Course simply needs more work…
Disappointed in condition of course after last playing here over a year ago. Fairways are better in some respects but need more attention. Sand traps are in poor condition for the most part with some having little to no sand. Greens were in decent shape over all. Some of the tee boxes were heavily divoted and lacked attention. Renovations inside the club house including the pro shop are a big plus!
Hopefully, additional maintenance to the course will enhance the appearance of the course in the months ahead!
Hidden Gem (another)
Yet another great playable track in the Northern suburbs of Chicago that doesn’t get a whole lot of play. Fairways and greens are well maintained.- tee boxes could use some leveling. Not an overly tricked out layout. Straight forward design where you can miss and still make par. Fairways roll for days. Greens medium speed and massive.
Great job by the crew that makes this place a well worth drive.
Great Value
Great value for a A plus course ! In great shape with exceptions of the traps but the pace and and cost make up for the traps.
Highly recommend playing this gem !
Great experience
The course is in great shape. 1st time playing this course and it definitely has its challanges. The only issue was the green speeds, they were slow due to them watering and growing them out for a senior tournament.
Has Potential
The staff was great and I liked the layout. Made you make decisions to go for it or use course management and play it safe. Did not have time to use the driving range or chipping green but it looked like a good place to practice. However, the course conditions were not good. Even though course has Bent tees, fairways, and greens, it should not have bare spots, weeds, and brown spots. When you hit the ball in the fairway you expect a good lie. However, this is not always the case. Also, the prices for the food and beverage was very expensive, $3 for a Gatorade and potato chips for $2 and Kind bar goes for a steep $5.
