This course is challenging
This course is difficult. There is a lot of water and if you are not long don't play the back tees. It is a flat course so it will be a little windy always. The course is in good condition and the staff is friendly.
The course was well manicured.
I was going to play golf at another course with a friend but when I clicked on the tee time for 2 people I was advised that 1 person already took that spot so I searched for another place to golf. Midlane was available only 20 minutes later with about the same dollar amount. I glad we decided to play there. I have not played there in about 8 years and really enjoyed the course. The fairways were cut very short and the rough was not too thick. The greens were very well taken care of and were not too difficult. I will play there again soon.
Midlane Golf Resort
A really fun course to play with great variety of holes and shot making required
Nice course, reaonable price at times
Nice course that has matured since I last played. The conditions are good and pace of play was okay for a Friday. Give it a try.
Greens were smooth, but slow
Good deal at $22....greens were quite slow.
Pace of play was good but not many golfers
not friendly
It was 95F. But the owner of the course told us that we can't bring our own drinks. Some courses ban coolers. But we couldn't even take the coke we were drinking. We had to throw out our lunch. He didn't even allow us to eat before we teed off. I asked whether there will be drink cart going around. But he said no. He told us that he will kick us out if we bring outside drink. 95F. No drink cart available. Rude owner.
every thing good.
staff was very kindly and good fair for course condition
I like this place.
Nice course but greens under repair
The golf club should advise patrons that there is maintenance scheduled and that the greens will not be available!!! totally unacceptable to waste people's time. I could have booked somewhere else if I knew.
Great play for the money!
Course is in great condition and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend.
good course in good condition .. water on 14 holes
fairways and greens in great condition ... they are watered every day when needed. Challenging with water on 14 out of 18 holes, but fun for all level of players.
Great, challenging course. Fairways and greens excellent shape.Lots of water!
The fairways are like hitting off a carpet and the greens roll true. The greens are also very soft, they hold your aproach shots well. Seemed to be a lot of people not repairing their divots on the greens, fixed alot of them.
Good course for good value
Played this course a few times and I don't have any complaints. Greens roll true and fairways that are as good as can be in the current hot and muggy conditions. Tee boxes were a bit worn sprayed with unreplaced divot marks(only negative).. Can be a tricky at times with the front 9 having water come into play quite often and depending on the day the wind is a factor. Great little risk/reward track. Bring an extra sleeve of balls if it's windy. 18th is geourgous hole and the epitome of the risk/reward hole. Get a decent drive off and the green is reachable in 2 if wind is not big of a factor.
The practice facilities grass range(tin cup) style, pitch and chip greens, and putting greens are all in great shape.
I recommend it especially when there's a deal on it.. Good luck.
beautiful course
Just a gorgeous challenging course its one of the nicer places I've played this year. Staff, carts, and amenities are outstanding definitely looking to play there very soon.
Great course.
What's not to like! Great course, lots of fun to play, good conditions, reasonably priced, nice staff.
It's a very nice course. Very challenging.
The staff people were very nice and the course was in good shape.
Some Great Holes!!
Always a challenge. Nice facility, but needs mulch bottles on the carts so you can repair the grass after shots. Scorecard could use better yardage marking.
Nice facility!
We'd never played Midalne before, so our expectations were based on GolfNow reviews (which proved to be mostly spot on). This is a nice facility with ample and quality practice areas, and a challenging (but fair) golf course. The course was in above average condition, however I thought the greens were rolling a little slow. First timers beware! There is lots of water on this course and some of it doesn't reveal itself to the naked eye. Bring an extra sleeve of balls. The back nine is a more interesting golf experience than the front and more fun. The 18th is a terrific risk/reward par 5 finishing hole.
Most of the greens are elevated and guarded by bunkers, so accurate approaches are necessary if you want to score. We played on a windy afternoon, so pulling the correct club was a bit of a guessing game. Pace of play was good for a weekday afternoon and the Golfnow price made it a bargain.
A Good Test For the Mid to Low Handicapper
If you are tired of playing your same ole same local course, give Midlane a try. It's a great value, and will allow you to hit every club in your bag. There is just enough water, force carries, and sand to test your skills.
Too slow pace
It took more than 5hrs on Saturday afternoon and I saw the ranger just once, not enough attention.
Congeniality with an Attitude
At the clubhouse, Pro/Manager Bill Aldridge does it all. The range is adequate for practice or warm-ups. Onceout to the course, be prepared for some challenging golf with forced carries and plenty of hidden water in landing areas. Take along a copy of the course layout specially if you haven't been to Midlane in a few years. Soem beautiful old oaks line the fairways with cathedral like views on some of the newer holes on the back nine. First nine now has many homes lining the fairways.
